MARRIAGE IN FASHIONABLE LIFE.—On the 15th instant, at Teamingtott, by the Right Hon and Rev Lord "Vm Somerset. Charles John Kemeys Tynte. Esq., late M P. for West Somerset, only son of Col. STRATHGLASS LIUO Lord Lovatt has leased out to an Knglisli gentleman, Mr Thomas l)odd, the lead mine lately opened on his lordship's property in Strathglass- The mine consists ol lead ore and barytes, is five miles in length, by two and a half in width. The object of Mr Dodd is to form a company for working the above mine, by raising a capital of f 4.000 in shares of t:4 each —Caledonian Mercury. — [The people ot Glamorganshire should take a hint from this. anil emleawiur to bring their lead mines into working trim ] The editor of the Mining Journal of last week gives vest to his just indiguation against a cor respondent of the Timrs for having made use of his writings without having had the honesty to acknowledge the source from which he derived his information, an injustice which the former gentleman leels ille more keenly, as the information so taken was procured^ at the expense of trouble and monev now as the editor of the Mining Journal has such a nice sense of honour as not himself to appropriate any thing with- out acknowledgment, it must have been frosn mere inadvertence that he took on the previous week a valuable table from our paper—viz., the quantities of coal and iron sent down the Glamorganshire and Monmouthshire Canals for the last twelve years without hinting at the source from which he drew it.
