DURING a practice of upwards of forty years, the late Dr. Ciee emp oyed with unvaryingsuccess these valuable Pills, and much of his celebrity may be attributed to the beneficial effects resulting from their use. The high repute in which he was deservedly held, and the acknowledged efficacy of his treatment, render it almost needless far us to dilate on the value of the Medi- cine now recommended, yet as the compounders of Dr. Clee's Herbaceous Pills, we may here assure the Public they are prepared solely from the Vegetable Kingdom, re- main uninjured if kept any length of time, and retain their virtues in all climates. These Pills-are admirably adapted for removing all im- purities of the blood, and correcting bad digestion, they promote a healthy action of the Liver, allay Acidity of the Stomach, and give tone to the digestive organs, are par- ticularly calculatca for loss of appetite or lowness of spirits.and will be found truly serviceable iuremoving Nausea, Giddiness, or Headache. This invaluable medicine was constantly employed by the late Dr. CI-PE, in affections of the Chest, Lungs, &c. during his long and extensive practice, and the astonishing success which marked his treatment is doubtless the strongest recommendation in its favour. By promoting Expectoration, it almost instantly removes slight and recent Coughs, gives immediate relief to those which have assumed a „'|0r0 dangerous character, and if persevered in seldom faiis completely to overcome them, however obstinate. This Balsam is an unfailing remedy for shortness of Breath, and Hoarseness, it allays irritation in the throat, and if timely resorted to will be found valuably efficient in relieving the symptoms attendant on Consumption in its early stages. ^'0<. Asthmatic Patient this Medicine is essentially beneficial, a dose taken at i>ed time will constantly remove that urgent difficulty of breathing by which he is frequently nightly harrassed. Tby house, and (in ilie cup of life, ■! bat honey-diop) thy pleasing wife. HAPPINESS" the pay to-morrow of the mind" is JH- cii i,re,d by Ulaniage; the strictest tie of perpetual Friendship" is a gift from Heaven, cementing pleasure with reason, by which, says Johnson, we approach •• iu some degree of association with celestial intelligence. Previous, however, to entering into the hallowed obli- gation of marriage, it becomes an impressive duty, not only to regulate the passion, but to cleanse the grosser nature from those impurities which the freedom of unrestricted pleasure may have entailed upon it. To the neglect of such attention, are attributable many of those hapless in- stances, which, while they excite the commiseration of the beholder, should also impress hint with the fear of self reproach. Luxurious habits will effenlinize tht- body -a -residence in the troples, will relax the elastic tibrp-but more espe- cially does the premature infatuation of youth, too fre- quently compromise tha natural dignity into a state of ill- anition, from whence the agonized sufferer more than doubts the chauce of relief. To all such, then, we address ourselves, offering hope-tufrgy-mllscular strength— felicity; nor will our advances appear questionable, sanc- tioned as they are by the multiplied proofs of twenty years' successful experience. The easy cares of married life are sometimes disturbed by the suspension of those blessings which concentrate the nuptual wreath—for the female habit is often constitu- tionally^ weak—yet it can be strengthened, and deficient energy improved into functional power. In every case of syphilitic intrusion, as well as in every relaxation of the generative economy, we pledge our ability to cure speedily, and with effect. Earnestly soli- citous to expel the unfeeling empyric from the position so presumptuously taken up, we deviate from general prin- ciples with less hesitation and confident in our own hon- ourable integrity as Members of the College of Surgeons, we refer the suffering community of either Sex (especially those entering into matrimonial life) at once to our house, where daily attendance is given for personal consultation • and letters from the country are immediately answere-d- these must contain a remittance for Advice aud Medicine' describing minutely the case, which can be forwarded to any part of the world, however distant.—No difficulty can occur, as the Medicine will be securely packed, and care- fully protected from observation.
