SWANSEA INFIRMARY. AT a MEETING of the Subscribers of the SWAN- SEA INFIRMARY, held at the TOWN HALL the 20th November, 1833' J. H. VTVIan' Esq M.P-t V. P in the Chair. Several Letters from Mr. Charles Moor, Executor of the late Dr. Edwards, relative to the Bequest made to this v"I Institution having been read, Resolved,—That the Subscribers to this Charity, anxious and determined to support its just claims, but averse to the unnecessary creation of legal expenditure, arc desirous of obtaining, without delay, as full and satisfactory an account in writing of the amount and nature of the late Dr. Edwards' Estate, and the several claims thereon, as if the same were obtained through the medium of a Court of Equity; and that Mr. Moor, acting Executor of the late Dr. Edwards, be requested to furnish the same forthwith. That this Meeting, representing an important Public Charity, cannot with propriety recommend it to the Trus- tees to enter into any arrangement which does not amount to a final adjustment of the extent of their Claims as Legatees under the late Dr. Edwards' Will consequently they decline receiving the Library, Instruments, &c. upon the proposed Terms of giving a Bond for a Return in Specie or the present estimated value if necessariiy de- manded, as the necessity of such demand would involve them in a litigated question and a labyrinth of Accounts. That a Copy of these Resolutions be transmitted by the Secretary to Mr. Moor, and all early answer requested. That J. H. Vivian, Esq. M.p, L. W. Dillwyn, Esq. M.P. T. C. Thomas, John Grove, Robert Eaton, H. Sjckett, James Gibbon, M.D. and G. B. Bird, Esqrs. be appointed a Committee to consider the answer of Mr. Moor, and to take such intermediate steps as they may think lit consist- ently with the above Resolutions; and particularly take Equity opinions as they may think necessary, and if they should deem it expedient to institute legal or equitable proceedings, that they do call a General Meeting of the Subscribers, to take the same into consideration, and if necessary invest them with the proper powers. That Mr. J. Jackson Price be requested to retain in his hands all Documents and Papers which he has received from Mr. Charles Moor, or any other person connected with the Question relating to the Bequests made to the Infirmary by the late Dr. Edwards. That the Thanks of this Meeting be given to Henry Sockett, Esq. for the valuable assistance he has rendered this Institution.
