COAL IN RADNORSHIRE.—Mr. Edward Powel', Mineral Surveyor anJ Civil ^"&illcer,of Birraing- j t ham, has published a letter in which he denies the correctness of the opinion given by Professor Murchisoii, that coal does not exist in the county of Radnor. Mr. Powell states that he has been intimately acquainted with the counties of Brecon and Radnor for twenty two years, that he has made critical surveys of'different portions of them, and adduces various reasons for affirming that the professor is in error, and that Radnorshire and the north of Breconshire do contain coal." As far therefore as opinion goes, the question is still at issue.
