Rhuddian. University Lectures. On Friday evening, at the Reading and Recrea- tion Room, a lecture was delivered by Mr W M Todd, M. A (from the University College of Bangor), on "Cultivation of Fruit in Market Hardens." There was only a small attendance. To-night (Friday) another lecture will be given by the same gentleman on "Agricultural Co-operation." {These lectures are arranged by the Parish Council, and there is no charge for admission. Football. The visitors at Rhuddlan on Saturday were the Rhyl Church Guild team, who won a well contested game by 4 goals to 1. The previous Saturday the result was-Rhuddlan 2, Denbigh Liberals 1. Crand Concert. The annual concert in connection with the Calvinistic Methodists was he!d last night (Thursday) at their chapel, and proved as suecest- ful as those previously held, which was due in a preat measure to the good work done by the com- mittee and other members of the church, assisted by the energetic secretary (Mr W J Roberts). Mr Morgan Williams (St Asaph) presided. The accompanist was Miss Lily Evans (Rhyl), who gave every satisfaction. Messrs Mills (Wakar.) also gave instrumental selections. All the artistes acquitted themeelves creditably, especially Miss Ada Roberts and MisParkerDavies. The Juvenile Choir (conducted by Mr Thos Williams) also rendered several pieces in a very pleasing manner.
