J., JOHN STIVENS and CO. beg respectfully to inform the public that then- original GREEN GINGER WINE is in the high- est state of perfection, and especially adapted for this season of the year; its excellence is so well known, and so justly appreciated, that comment is unnecessary. Amongst the variety of Stivens's Wines, there are many so nearly resembling the foreign (without their spirituous character), that they are highly recommended as a safe beverage for children, or weak, debilitated constitutions. J. S. and Co. would particularly call attention to their cele- brated ORANGE TONIC. This cordial, combining all the medicinal properties of a fine tonic possesses the rich and beautiful flavour of the Seville Orange, ren- dering it a pleasant and agreeable beverage, at the same time afford- ing a healthy and vigorous tone to the whole system. An Important Testimonial 0-F^the value of CUPISS'S CONSTITUTION BALLS for NEAT CATTLE, which at this season of the year is well worph- the attention of breeders and graziers — StR,-Befcre I ask your opinion upon a little matter. I shall just tell you I have used your Constitution Bails for about seven years, and in no case have they failed (entirely) amongst cattle. Neat cattle that were kept on the best of food did not improve till after giving a few doses of your Balls, when they would fatten fast; I have also seen cows strengthened and restored in an extraordinary manner, after a bad time in calving; and to rearing calves in the autumn they have been of great service, aud I verily believe have kept off the distemper, upon its first appearance, when timely adminis- tered. I have recommended them to several of my friends and have not heard of a failure. My brother-in-law, a short time since, used them to cows in milk bt,-iiig the foot and mouth disteaiper,' and assured me in two or three days they came to their milk as usual, &c. The question I wish to ask respecting tho Balls is, may I giff. them to a horse whilst turned out ? I have used the Ba Is frequently to beasts lying out, with success, but never to horses. You wiH oblige me much by telling me your opinion.* I am, sir, your most obedient servant, THOMAS WOOD. To Mr. Cupiss, Diss. Beslow, Salop, 1817.
