Cork Club Ball. On Friday eight !ast. at AndrewI' Letter Halt was held the Stst baH of the weaaion of the newly organ- ized Cork Club. The halt, for the occasion, waa elaborately decorated with Sags and bunting kindly tent by varions gent!emen of the town, and festoons made with various coloured papers, lanterns, &c., whi!<;t suopended in the centre of the building wax a choice tantern of tremendous dimenstona made by Mr and Mrs J. James. Over the platform was an artist- ically denned motto 11 Succeatt to otlr club." The decorations were carried ont by Messrs C Kirby, H Kuhlkc, A. Jenkina, F. Matthews, G. Co!es, and 0. Wiihams. At the upper end of the bal', waa the re- freshment atal!, and this was presided over by Mrc WuHams, Mrs Alitchel!, Mra Kuhlhe, and Mra Percy. At intervals between the dancing*, wougs were xung by Mewtrs Manley, Knhike, HiU, F. Matthews, C. Etrby W. Crockett, W. Northey, &c. The Penarth Quad- rH)e Band waw in attendance. Dancing commenced a little after eight p.m., being- led off by Mr C. Kirby and Miss Fanny Mil!ard. Mewsrs. H. Manley and J. Smith acted aa M.C.'s.
