Penarth Indecency Case. h i On Monday, at Barry Dock bi-weekly Petty Sessions Frederick Howells, painter, was brought up in custody on remand charged with indecency before girls of tender age in a field adjoining the Penarth Cricket Club Ground on the 20th September last. Mr Jackson again appeared for the defence, and at the outset explained that in consequence of a communication received from the magistrates' clerk that prisoner was found to be in a perfectly sane state of mind, he had simply to urge upon the Bench the considetation of I? the extenuating circumstances surrounding the case. Prisoner was a young man (26 years of age) who had up to the present time borne a good character, ani consequently felt acutely his present position. Ha had, moreover, been confined in prison for one week already.—The Bench sentenced prisoner to three months' imprisonment in each of the two cases brought forward, the latter period to run concurrently with the first.
