Harvest Festival at St. Paul's. The first Church service conducted m the Welsh language held at Penarth within living memory, was held on Tuesday evening' at Sr. Paul's Church, the occasion being a harvest thanksgiving festival. The sacred edifice was crowded, many of the congregation being Nonconformists. The service was intoned by the Rev. E. S. Roberts, B.A. (curate), two lay mem- bers read the lessons, and the Rev. T. C. Phillips, St. David's Welsh Church, Cardiff, preached an impres- sive sermon. On Wednesday evening an English service was conducted in the same church.
