Parliamentary Expenses. RETURN FOR SOUTH GLAMORGAN, Mr John E. Williams, acting returning officer for South Glamorgan, has received the bills of expenses of the Parliamentary candidates at the General Elect- ion. Mr Arthur J. Williams's expenses were :-To returning officer (deposit), 1-350 election agent's services, £ 126; polling agents, Y,132 lis 6d; messengers, 158 6d printing, illo 6s advertising, fg4 15s 6d; stationery, X13 2s 4d; postage, X35 15s 6d telegrams, Xio 18s 2d hire of public halls and committee rooms, £34 Is 6d miscellaneous matter, f38 10s lOd; disputed and unpaid claims, £ 3 3a; total, X954 10s 4d. Added to this must be the personal expenses of the candidate, which totalled f 15 28 7d, making altogether X969 12,4 lid. Of the f308 depos- ited with the returning officer JE70 3s 9d has to be returned. Thus the actual total will be reduced to f899 9s 2d. Major Wyndham-Quin's expenses are as follows :— Paid to returning officer, X279 16s 3d; personal expenses, f85 election agent's expenses, 1112 10; sub-agents, X90 5s polling agents, fl6 15s; clerks, X79 3s 9d; messengers, 15 12s; printing and station- ery, il78 5s 2d advertising and billposting, £ 202 2s 6d postage and telegrams, £ 87 9s 9 £ d; hire of public halls and committee-rooms, .£48 38 4d; miscellaneous matters, 1145 la 10id; making a total of XI,330 4s 9d..
