Marriage Festivities at Penarth.


Marriage Festivities at Penarth. On the occassion of the return from their wedding tour of Mr and Mrs W. Emsley Carr, Ilr and Mrs Lascelles Carr on Wednesday afternoon gave a lunch- eon and "at homa" to a numerous company of friends at their residence, Cwrt-y-vibPenarthi The weather was beautifully fine, the attendance of invited guests was very large, and in all respects the gathering proved a most successful and enjoyable one. Mr and Mrs Lascelles Carr received their guests in the spacious hall of Cvvrt-y-vil, which had been for the nonce con- verted into a banqueting hall. With them were Mr and Mrs Emsley Carr, Mrs J- E. Jackson, the grand- mother of the bride; Mr T. Hay Carr, of Horsforth, Leeds, the father of the bridegroom; and Mr and Mrs (J. J. Jackson, aunt and uncle of the bride. There were also present a large number of invited guests. Luncheon was served about three o'clock, and during the afternoon selections of music were performed on the lawn by the members of the Hungarian Band. The wedding cake which was placed upon a table in the hall, was cut and distributed among the guests by Mrs Emsley Carr, who was attired in her wedding costume. Various attractions for the younger mem- bers among the guests were fouii(I in tiie billiard-room and in the shooting range provided in the grounds, The wedding presents? which were very numerous and costly, were on view in the morning-room; and were very greatly admired by the guests.
