Police Business at Penarth and Barry. EXTRA COURTS ARRANGED. In consequence of the pressure of business at the petty sessional courts now held at Penarth arid Barry Dock on Mondays and Thursdays respectively, and the many occasional courts which it has been found necessary to hold between the intervening" courts, a meeting of the magistrates concerned was held on Wednesday at the Cardiff offices of the clerk (Mr J. Morris), to consider the advisability of establishing additional courts. Mr J. S. Batchelor presided, and the other magistrates present were General Lee, Mr W- B. Gibbs, Mr Lowden, Mr Meggitt. and Dr Neale. The Chief Constable, (Captain Lindsay) and Superin- tendent Giddings were also in attendance. Several suggestions were made, but it was ultimately decided to hold courts at Barry Dock on Mondays and Fridays and one at Penarth on Wednesdays, the new arrange- ment to commence on the first Monday in July. t 9 ■
