tw-ft- I That Early Morning Cough EVERT MUNITION WORKER NEED3 i PEPS. J Now is time to take Peps to atop that first ? Autumn Coagh from eettliog down into the longs and canning mischief which may under- mice your constitution. Especially if yon are a munition worker | your best defence agaioet the damp, early j morning air is to let a Pepa tablei or two dissolve in your mouth on your way to or from work. That troublesome early morning cough and throat irritation will then soon cease. There will be no more ct that choking for breath, that tickling in the throat, or that scrapiDg of the chest." Directly a Peps table* is put into the mouth its medicinal power is released in an air-like form, and filters every breath passing into the lungs. This has a comforting, healing and germ-destrojiog mult that resembles the far- famed Alpine Cure for throat and cheat troubles. Ordinary cough lozenges and liquid physic are simply swallowed into the stomach, and can only act indirectly on a cough or odd On the other hand, the Peps medioice is breathed In, and so gets to the seat of trouble at once. Peps are the right throat and chest medicine in the right form, and now that the weather Is so troublesome, it will pay everybody to keep a box handy,

Denblghshlre Appeal Tribunal. A sitting of the Tribunal was held at Rathin oa Saturday, Mr D 8 Dayies presiding. SYMPATHY. Before proceedirg to the ordinary business the Chairman referred to the death in tctfon of Lieut Porter, and flared a vote of sympathy and condolence Aith his father—Mr J M Porter, Colwyn Bay (who is a member of the Tribunal) I and family in their beresremoin t. -This was carried in the usual way. THE APPEALS. John Hugh Jones, the 19 years old sen of Mrs Elizabeth Jones, Maesmor Fycban, Osrrigydruidion, had been given a con- ¡ ditional exemption until March 80 h, and í the Military Kepresentative appealed, as it was not in the national interest that this single young man should rem&in in civil employment, and an cflier h%d been made to help on tile farm by a neighbour. The appeal was partially upheld, exemption being granted until January 5th instead of March 30th. The case of Thomas Morris, son of Mrs Morris, Bryndedwydd, Glaefryn, Ceriig-y- druidion, was exactly similar to the above. None of her three sons had joined the army, all being at home. The appeal of the Military Representa- tive was granted and exemption refused. David Thomas Humphreys, Maerdy Mill, near Corwen. The father appeared, and stated that his son was indispensable. The appeal was granted. No exemption given. Local tr: bunl exemption till I April lst ciccelled. In the case of Owen G JArrett, his father, Mr Owen Jarrett, Frcn Gancl, Llanbedr, appealed for a renewal cf the certificate. Granted till January 8th. Robert Evans, Fron Felyn, Llanbedr. appealed in respect of his -son, Samuel Evans, who had been tximptcd until September 30h. It appears that appli- cant has a married eon working for adjoining farmers who had been passed for military service, and Lieut Jones suggested that this man's married son should be conditionally exempted, on the understanding that he aseigted his father on his farm so that Samuel Evans could join the army. Temporary (xemption antil January 5th was granted, the Tribunal expressing the opinion that some arrangement could be made where by one of the sons could go to the army. Evan Lloyd Williams, corn factor, Glaefryn, Pwllglas, Ruthin, applied on behalf of himself for a farther exemption than until September 30.h. He said he was a married man, 35 years of age, and dealt largely in grain, feeding cakes, farm seeds, &o. He had at present a large stock of aitificial manures on htni, and Also about 1,200 hobbcts of barley ia stack, and to be disposed, of most d b having been bought off farmers, and had not been threshed. I Lieut Cyril Jones was prepared to agree to a cjnditional exemption if Mr Willism3 I would replace a man under 30 yns of' age on a farm during his slack season. » The Chairman The c-,urt is not supposed to find a man to act for Mr 1 Willi, ms.-Further exemption was re- fused, and leave to appeal to the Central Authority was also declined. The Local Tribunal had r, fused exemption to Robert Hngbes, teamsnaan, sen of Thomss Hughes, Tjdiya leaf, | Piion. Milk ig delivered from the farm I twica daily, and to Rhyl by road oa Sundays, and this was made one of the grounds of &peal. Fxe m ptiou until I January 8ik was granted. Edward Jones, Llyn lthys, Lli^pdegla, was exempted on condition that he 'I' continued to assist farmers in his district, Temporary exemption until September 30th, with no further appeal without i leave, was the decision of the Lccil Tribunal in the case of Thomss Roberts, Maestyddyn U end, Clawddnewydd, who took over the farm in October, 1015. He now appealed for leave to re-open his case. -L;eut Cyril Jones conteadfd that the faim could b3 cultivated by Roberts' p ") ffcther and brc<h?rp, who live close by.— Appellant's application WHS refused. John Eiiaa Jons, Pantglas Isaf, i llhewl, cowmsn, applied for exemption on J the ground that he hsd tsken Maeshed Farm, Llanynys, of 50 fcrcp, at a rental of X48. He is a married imn, 26 years of age.-The Local Tribunal was of opinion that ycucg men of military age should not take heavy resjonsibilities just now.-His application was refused. John James Jones, LlanbsDwcb, L'an- I fair, applied for further exemption to his son, E F Jone?, on the ground that ha himself knew hardly anything about farm work.—Lieut Jones said tbii, man was willing to join the crniy, and W53 no ehiik*r.—The appeal was refused. Alun Evsna, Lot Farm, Erryrys, was also refused exemption on the ground that he wss not required for farm work. The father admitted to Lieut Jones thst the statement cf cLim, and even the ex- emption form, hid been prepared by the loeel minis'.er. Lieut Jon< s I thought so, and I believe the miniater takes Drida in the number of me-d he gets ex mpv,ed. Exemption was refussd. The Military Representative appealed agiinst six months exemption given by the Local Tribunal to John Rowland Williams, Pentrellec1?, LUnrhakdr. The young man's father stated that. in addition to a farm of 105 acres, he had three tbreebicg machines, 5Dd usually thrashed for 200 farmer?, but owing to the -lack cf drivers only one engine was now woikiog. -The appeal was refused. The Appeal Tribunal htd granted exjmpiion until Sfptember 30th to DATH John Hughes, teamsmaD, Pieced Isaf. Rulbin. His father appealed for an extension for lis Eon, previously exempted to September 30th. Ha was, his fitter said, an expert farm r, havi&g been through a course of training in Biogor University College.—Condition?.!
