WHITLOCK, R.E., Ordnance Survey Office, Chester. By order of the Director General of ths Ordnance Survey. cHOw COUNTY OF DENBIGH. ALTERATION OF THE PETTY SESSIONAL DIVISION OF ISDULAS. -JVTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at the .IA Quarter Sessions of the PeRce for the County of Denbigh, held at Denbigh on the 9th day of April, 1898, the following ORDER was made, viz.:— County of Denbigh to Wit: At the General Quarter Sessions of the Peace of our Sovereign Lady the Queen, held at the County Hall, in Denbigh, in and for the County of Denbigh, on Saturday, the ninth day of April, in the 61st "Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady Victoria now Queen of the United Kingdom of "Great Britain and Ireland and so forth, in the u Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred "and ninety-eight, before Bofcawen Trevor Griffith-Boscawen and William Cornwallis "West, Esquires, and others their Companions, "Justices of our said Lady the Qaeen, assigned to keep the Peace of our said Lady the Queen in the said County and also to hear and deter- "mine divers Felonies, Trespasses, and other misdemeanors committed within the said "CcUaty. „ "ALTERATION OF THE PETTY "SESSIONAL DIVISION OF ISDULAS. WHEREAS on the 16th day of December, 1897, the following statement in writing was "transmitted to me, the undersigned, Clerk of •" the Peace for the County of Denbigh, viz :— County of Denbigh to wit. To Llewelyn Adams, Esqre., Clerk of the Peace for the County I of Denbigh. We, the undersigned, Justices of the Peace for the Division of Isdulas, are of opinion «• that the several parishes of Llandrillo-yn- < Rhos, Llanelian, and Llysfaen, and the Township of Eirias, now comprised within "and forming part of that Division of Isdulas of Petty and Special Sessions, ought tu be "taken from and out of the same Petty Sessional Division and form a separate Petty "Sessional Division within and for which Petty and Special Sessions should hence- forth be held, and that the several Justices of the Peace of the said County and usually resident and acting as such within the boundaries of the said proposed new Divi- sion are William Venables Williams, M.A., J.P., Chairman; Alfred Osten Wa'ker, J.P.; John Lewis, J.P.; Thomas George Osborn, M.A., J.P.: Dr William Montague Venables < Williams, J.P.; John Porter, J.P.; John I- Roberts, J.P.; William Dickson Houghton, < J.P.; James Wood, J.P. And we further u state that considerable difficulcy is ex- -,perienced by the Inhabitants of the said parishes of LlandriUo-yn-Rhos, Llanelian, and Llysfaen, and the Township of Eirias "in transacting their Magisterial business by ''reason of the Magistrates' Clerk residing at Rhyl, which is distant lOi miles from Colwyn Bay, in the Parish of Llandrillo-yn- Rhos, in the said County. That there are nine Justices acting in and for the Division of Isdulas resident in the Parish of Llan- drillo-yn-Rhos, and which parieh is next adjoining to the parishes of Llanelian "and Llysfaen and Township of Eirias. That since the division was formed "Colwyn Bay has so increased in size "and population and in the amount of Petty Sessional work as to entitle it with ita imme-liate neighbourhood to be separated from the said Division and to have a Petty and Special Division of its own. Abergele, where half the Sessions are held, is distant "6 miles from Colwyn Bay, and we are credibly informed that it is the general wish of the Inhabitants of the parishes of Llandrillo- "yn Rhos, Llanelian, and Llysfaen and the Township of Eirias that the said parishes and township should be separated from the said Division of Isdulas, which we hereby state is our opinion also, after careful con- sideration of the matter and of the amount of work done at Colwyn Bay. We there fore, in pursuance of the statute 9 Geo. 4 "cup 43 and 6 Will. 4 cap. 2, do hereby transmit to you, aa Clerk of the Peace for the said County, this statement in writing, signed by us, in order that the same may be laid before the J ustice3 of the Peace for the said County at their next General Quarter Sessions of the Peace.
