To the Ynyecynhaiam and Criccieth Urban District Councils, and to all others whom it may concern. "VTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in pur- l\ suance of the powers conferred upon them by Section 57 of the Local Government Act, 1888. the COUL ty Council for the Administrative County or Carnarvon, at a meeting held on the 7th day of February, 1895, did make certain Orders, viz.:— (1) YN YSCYNHATARN-Dividing the Urban District of Ynyscynhaiarn into Wards, altering the number of members, and fixing the number of Urban District Councillors to be elected for each Ward; and, (2) CRICCIETH—Altering the number of members to be elected in the Urban District of Criccieth, and making certain consequential pro- visions in respect thereto. The following is a statement of the effect of the said Orders respectively:— The YNYSCYNHAIARN URBAN DISTRICT is thereby divided into five Wards, to be called respectively the Eastern Ward," the Western Ward," the" Hest Ward," the "Tremadoc Ward," and the Uwchyllyn Ward." The boundaries and area of the said Wards are as follow: Tiw boundary of t e "Eastern Ward wi.l be n, line drawn from the boundary between the Parishes of Ynyscynhaiarn and Llantihangel-y-Traethau, in the County of Mer- ioneth, at a point where a straight line drawn along the centre of the Embankment Road would reach such boundary, thence along the said line through the centre of the Embank- ment Roid, then along High Street to the Cambrian Railway Station, and thence along the northern side of the Cambrian Railway to Glaslyn river. The boundary of the I Western Ward is a;\ imaginary line drawn from Craigydon, Trwyn Cae Ifgo, behind the Old Tan House and Borth Smithy to Borth Road, along the said road to the entrance to Morfa Lodge Drive, thence in a direct line to Morfa Lod¡.:e Tower, and along the watershed of Moel y Gest to the boundary of the parishes of Y nyscynhaiarn and Trefiys; also an imaginary line drawn from the High Street Level Crossing on the Cambrian Railway to the boundary of the parishes of Ynyscynhaiarn and Dolbenma.en near Wern. The 11 Gest Ward" consists of so much of the district as lies between the boundary line of the Western Ward and the sea at Morfa Bychan. The" Tremadoc Ward" consists of so much of the district as lies between the Cambrian Railway Station and the northern boundary of the parish. The Uwch- yllyn Ward" comprises the whole of the isolated portion of the Pentrefelin end of the parish of Ynyscynhaiarn, known as the town- ship of Uwchyllyn. The number of Urban District Councillors to be elected for the said Ynyscynhaiarn Urban District is 17, apportioned amongst the said Wards as followsEastern Ward, 6; Western Ward, 4; Gest Ward, 2; Tremadoc Ward, 3; and Uwchyllyii Ward, 2. THE number of Urban District Councillors to be elected for the CRICCIETH URBAN DISTRICT is 15, being an addition of 6 to the present number. The said orders will take effect from the date of their confirmation respectively by the County Council. Within 21 days after the said Orders have been finally approved of by the County Council, the respective Clerks to each ot the said Urban District Councils respectively shall proceed to the election of the additional District Councillors provided for in the said Orders respectively, in order to make up, with the District Councillors elected at the first election under the Local Government Act, 1894, the full number of District Councillors given to the said Districts respectively by the said several Orders. The election of the additional District Councillors will be conducted according to the rules issued by the Local Government Board in the Urban District Councillors Election Order, 1894, as amended by the Urban District Councillors Casual Vacancies Order, 1895, with such modifications (if any) as may be necessary. The said additional District Councillors, in both the said Districts respectively, are, for all ancillary purposes, including time of retirement, to be deemed to have been elected at the first election, and fS between themselves to have obtained the number of votes according to the number actually given to them, but as affecting the District Councillors already elected, as if they had received a less number of votes than the said District Councillors so actually elected at the first election. The retirement of the Urban District Coun- cillors in the Ynyscynhaiarn Urban District is provided for in the following manner:- In the Eastern Ward," 2 Councillors, and in the Tremadoc Ward," 1 Councillor, will retire annually: in the "Western Ward" 2. At the first meeting of the District Council of the Ynyscynhaiarn Urban Sanitary Distict, held after the election of the additional District Councillors, the Councillors present at that meeting are to agree, it possible, which of the District Councillors are to represent the various Wards, and if and so far as no agreement is come to the matter is to be determined by lot.
