THE Proprietor of the' Carnarvon and Denbigh Herald,' and Yr Herald Cymraeg,' begs to inform his subscribers that both his Journals can be sent by Post Un- stamped for One Adhesive Stamp. THE Subscriptions already received and pro- -L mised towards the Testimonial to the Rev. John Phillips, Of Bangor, now exceeds the sum of 400J. Those few who have promised and not yet sent in their subscriptions, are requested to do so with as little delay as convenient, and any friend who intends to subscribe, will be pleased to do so forthwith, as it is intended to close the list and make the presentation on an early day. THOS. LEWIS, Market-place, Bangor, Treasurer. JOHN ROBERTS GRIFFITH PARRY, Secretaries. Bangor, Jan. 28th, 1864. [3594 Appeal Funds for to Erect a New Church at Lower Llanberis. THE District in which it is proposed to build a Church, situate near the junction of the Llanberis Lakes, and at the foot of Snowdon, is the locality now so much fre quented by Tourists in the summer season. The population from this and other causes has quadrupled itself within the ast six years, and is still rapidly increasing. The great and urgent need of a Church in this locality will be at occe acknowledged when it is stated that the only Church accommodation at present provided for the inhabi tanta and visitors is a gratuitous evening service in Welsh and English, given by the Rector, in the village club-room, the Parish Church being three miles distant, and the services there only in Welsh. It is therefore proposed to erect a Church suitable for the accommodation of at least 300 persons, the estimated cost of which is 900J. As it is found impossible to raise this sum in the immediate neighbourhood, an earnest appeal is made to the Christian public for their support. Subscriptions will be thankfully received by the Rev. Lloyd Williams, Llanberis Messrs. Williams and Co., Old Bank, Carnarvon or by the Honorary Secretary, Wallace W. Cragg, Esq,, Glyn Padarn, Llanberis.
