Evans (pastor), presided. After an appropriate solo by Mr John Jones, a very able paper was read by Miss Jane Davies, giving a brief history of the martyr, John Penry. Miss Davies is to be complimented on the way she treated the subject. Mr John Owens and Mr David Evans also spoke on the same subject. A recitation was then given by Mr D. Rees, followed by a solo by Miss John, in her usual sweet style. After a few remarks from the Chairman, who spoke honourably with regard to these meetings, and urged on all to make an effort to attend the next one, as it is understood to be the last of the season.
