Carmarthenshire Monthly I Meeting. The CaWinistic Methodists held their Monthly Meeting on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 28th and 29th at Rhydoymmerau. The place being rather inconvenient, there were not many ministers and deacons present. At two o'clock the first day, a conference was held, presided over by Mr John Hughes, Llanelly, when resolutions relating tocon- nexional and other matters were parsed, amongst othera the following :-(1.) That we adopt the suggestion of Miss Howelle, B.A., Bcttws, to 11 t, present certiticates to all candidates in Class IV of County Sunday School examination, the standard being i and not half the number of marks as usual ;.2.) That all delegates appointed by churches to the district meetings are entitled to vote on all matters under discussion, whether they be officers in the respective churches or otherwisa. (3.) That Water-itieet Chapel be asked tojhold.exa ninations of ministerial candidates in August next. (t.) The Chuiches were eager to call the attention of members and others to the Hechabite order, as a form of encouraging temperance piinciples. The following morning a discussion took place on the subject ot Religious education," which was opened by Rev J. Foulkes, Llanelly. Several ministers and others took part afterwards. Public services were held first evening at Llansawel and Rhydcymmerau; and throughout the fallowing day at last-mentioned place. The following ninis- ters took put Revs Foulkes, Llane'ly Morris, Ptnygraig; Thomas, Llandovery; Owen, Burry Port Evans, Gelycwm Williams, Llanddeusant Phillips, Siloh Morgan and Lewis, Ferryside; Job, Consvil Davies, Brynamman Parry, Llan- fynydd Davies, Carmarthen and Jones, Kidwelly. Tho congregations were large, and preaching effective. Votes of condolence were also passed with the widows of Rev Rees Jones, Ammanford, aud Alderman D. Griffiths, Kidwelly.
