NOTICE is hereby given, that the _i\! Urban District Council of Aberdare, in the county of Glamorgan (hereinafter referred to as the Council "), intend to apply to Parliament in the ensuing Session for leave to bring in a Bill for the following, or some of the following, among other purposes (that is to say) 1. To enable the Council to construct, lay down and maintain all or some of the tramways hereinafter described (in this Notice referred to as the tramways "), and for that purpose to construct, lay down and maintain all necessary and proper rails, plates, sleepers, channels (including in that word where used in this Notice channels, passages and tubes for ropes, cables, wires and electric lines), junctions, turntables, turnouts, crossings, passing places, posts, poles, brackets, wires, stables, carsheds, engine, boiler and dynamo houses, waiting rooms, buildings, engines, dynamos, works and conveniences con- nected therewith respectively. [Where in the description of any of the tramways any distance is given with refe- rence to any street which intersects or joins the street in which the tramway is to be laid, the distance is to be taken as measured from the point at which lines drawn along the centre of the two streets and continued would intersect each other, and a point described as being opposite a street is to be taken (unless otherwise stated) as opposite to the centre of the street.] 2. The tramways proposed to be autho- rized by the bill will be situate wholly within the urban district of Aberdare (in this Notice referred to as "the district"), and are as follows (that is to say) Tramway No. 1 (1 mile 2 furlongs 0'6 chain, or thereabouts, in length, whereof 1 mile 7'5 chains will be single and 1 furlong 3'1 chains will be double) —Commencing at a point in the Ceme- tery-road opposite the north-west corner of the Cemetery lodge, passing thence along Cemetery road, Hirwain road, Gadlys road, High street, Canon street, Victoria square, and terminating in Cardiff street at a point 59 yards, or thereabouts, south-eastward of the north-east corner of Victoria square. Tramway No. 1 will be constructed as a single line except between the points hereinafter specified where it will be laid as double line. (A) In Cemetery road- (1) From the commencement of the Tramway for a distance of 15 yards ,or thereabouts south-east- ward. (B) In Hirwain road- (1) Between points distant res- pectively 36 yards and 91 yards or thereabouts north-westward of the south-west corner of Frederick- street. (2) Between points distant res- pectively 10 yards and 65 yards or thereabouts north-westward of the north-east corner of Glan road. (C) In Gadlys road- Between points distant respec- tively 10 yards and 65 yards or thereabouts south-eastward of the south-east corner of No. 100, Gadlys road. (D) In High street and Canon street- At the junction of such streets distant respectively 16 yards or. thereabouts northward of the north side of Green street and 28 yards or thereabouts westward of the south- west corner of Weatheral street. (E) In Cardiff street- Between points distant respec- tively 4 yards and 59 yards or thereabouts south-eastward of the north-east corner of Victoria Square. Tramway No. 2 (1 mile 3 furlongs 5'7 chains in length, whereof 1 mile 2 fur- longs 3'2 chains will be single and 1 furlong 2'5 chains will be double)- Commencing in Cardiff street by a junc- tion with Tramway No. 1 at its termina- tion above described, passing thence along Cardiff street, Cardiff road, and terminating at a point in Cardiff road 32 yards, or thereabouts, southward of the south-east corner of the boundary wall of Aberaman School, and near the junction of Cardiff road and Clarence- street. Tramway No. 2 will be constructed as a single line except between the points hereinafter specified where it will be laid as double line. In Cardiff road- (1) Between points distant res- pectively 5 yards and 60 yards or thereabouts north-westward of the north-west corner of Bethuel street. (2) Between points distant res- pectively 58 yards and 113 yards or thereabouts north-westward of the west corner of Sunny Bank street. (3) Between points distant res- pectively 30 yards and 85 yards or thereabouts south-eastward of the south-east corner of Curre street. (4) Between points distant res- pectively 13 yards and 68 yards or thereabouts eastward of the east corner of Lewis street. (5) Between points distant res- pectively 2 yards and 57 yards or thereabouts south-eastward of the north-east corner of George street. Tramway No. 3 (6 furlongs 5 chains in length, whereof 6 furlongs 4'4 chains will i be single line and 0'6 chain will be double)—Commencing in Cardiff road by a junction with Tramway No. 2 at its termination above described, passing thence along Cardiff road for a distance of 226 yards, or thereabouts, southward, thence along a new bridge and roadway to be constructed in a southerly direc- tion, and joining Cardiff road at a point 44 yards, or thereabouts, south-eastward of the south corner of Bell place, thence along Cardiff road and terminating in John street, Capcoch, at a point distant 46 yards north-westward of the north- west corner of Richard street, Capcoch. Tramway No 3 will be constructed as a single line except between the points hereinafter specified where it will be laid as double line. In John street, Capcoch— Between points distant respec- tively 46 yards and 60 yards or thereabouts north-westward of the north-west eorner of Richard street, Capcoch. Tramway No. 4 (1 mile 1 furlong 2'8 chains in length, wherof 7 furlongs 9'5 chains will be a single line and 1 furlong 3'3 chains will be double)—Commencing in Cardiff road by a junction with Tramway No. 2 at its termination above described, passing thence along Clarence street, Jubilee road, Gooseberry hill, thence along a new road to be construc- ted in continuation of Gooseberry hill and Fairview terrace, through the field known as Humphrey's Field and joining Fforchaman road by the north-east corner of Cwmneol Inn, thence along Fforchaman road and terminating on a vacant piece of land on the eastern side of the said road, and distant 102 yards, or thereabouts, north-eastward from the north-east corner of Shepherd's Arms Hotel. Tramway No. 4 will be constructed as a single line except between the points hereinafter specified where it will be laid as double line. (A) In Clarence street- (1) At the junction with Gladstone street distant respectively 68 yards and 123 yards or thereabouts west- ward from the centre of Cardiff- road. (2) At the junction with Jubilee road distant respectively 36 yards or thereabouts eastward of the east corner of Bethany Congregational Chapel, and 25 yards or thereabouts south-westward of the east corner of the said chapel. (B) Gooseberry Hill- Between points distant respec- tively 10 yards and 65 yards or thereabouts southwestward from the centre of Cwmaman road. (C) New Road- Between points distant respec- tively 5 yards and 60 yards or there- abouts south-westward of the south- west corner of Fair View terrace. (D) Fforchaman road- (1) At the junction with the new road above described and distant respectively 18 yards and 62 yards or thereabouts north eastward from the south-west corner of Cwmneol Inn. (2) At the termination of the Tramway on the vacant piece of land above described and distant respectively 102 yards and 120 yards or thereabouts north-eastward from such termination. Tramway No. 5 (7'1 chains in length, single line throughout)—Commencing in Gadlys road by a junction with Tram- way No. 1 at a point distant 42 yards, or thereabouts, north-westward of the south-east corner of No. 100, Gadlys road, thence along the occupation road to the Gadlys yard, terminating at a point distant 30 yards, or thereabouts, northward of the north corner of Gadlys House and opposite the entrance to the proposed car shed. Tramway No. 6 (3'5 chains in length, single line throughout)—Commencing in Cardiff-road by a junction with tramway No. 2 at a point distant 12 yards, or thereabouts, northward of the north corner of Blaengwawr Inn, thence along Club street in a south-westerly direction, terminating at a point distant 76 yards, or thereabouts, from the centre of Cardiff road and opposite the entrance to the proposed car shed. 3. The tramways will be constructed on a gauge of 3 feet 6 inches, or such other gauge as the Board of Trade may approve, and it is not intended to run on such tram- ways carriages or trucks adapted to run on railways. 4. Between the following points it is proposed to lay the tramways so that for a distance of 30 feet or upwards a less space than 9 feet 6 inches will intervene between the nearest rail of the tramway and the outside of the footpath on the side of the road hereinafter mentioned, or, if no side is mentioned, on both sides of the road (that is to say) Tramway No. 1. (A) Gadlys road- (1) On the south side thereof be- tween points respectively situate 15 yards and 52 yards, or thereabouts, south-eastward of the south-east corner of No. 100, Gadlys road, (B) High street- (1) On the north side thereof be- tween points respectively situate 76 yards and 104 yards, or thereabouts, south-eastward of the south-east corner of No. 100, Gadlys road. (2) On the south and west sides thereof between points respectively situate 76 yards, or thereabouts, south- eastward of the east corner of No. 100, Gadlys-road and 16 yards, or there- abouts. northward of the north side of Green street. Tramway No. 2. Cardiff road- (1) On the south-west side thereof from the junction of Bethuel street to a point situate 44 yards, or there- abouts, south of the east corner of Victoria Inn. (2) On the east side thereof between points respectively situate 48 yards, or thereabouts, and 104 yards, or there abouts, northward of the south-west corner of the Prince Llewelyn Inn. (3) Between points respectively situate 14 yards, or thereabouts, and 64 yards, or thereabouts, south- eastward of the south corner of No. 28, Cardiff road. (4) On the south side thereof be- tween points respectively situate 70 yards, or thereabouts, and 112 yards or thereabouts, eastward of the inter- section of the said road with Sunny Bank street, (5) On the east side thereof be- tween points respectively situate 20 yards, or thereabouts, and 56 yards, or thereabouts, north of the inter- section of the said road with Ynyslwyd road. (6) On the south-west side thereof from Kiln street for a distance of 28 yards in a south-easterly direction. (7) On the south side thereof be- tween Mount Hill street and Mason street. Tramway No. 3. (A) Cardiff road- (1) On the west side thereof between points respectively situate 46 yards, or thereabouts, and 63 yards, or there- abouts, from the commencement of the tramway. (2) On the south-west side thereof between points respectively situate 36 yards, or thereabouts, westward of North View-road and 60 yards, or thereabouts, of the north corner of the boundary wall of Capcoch School. Tramway No. 4. (A) Cardiff road- (1) On the west side thereof from the commencement of the tramway to a point 20 yards, or thereabouts, round the curve to Clarence street. (B) Clarence street- (1) On the south side thereof throughout the entire length of the street. (C) Jubilee road- (1) On the south-east side thereof and at the junction of Clarence-street, and in continuation of the narrow place in the said street, and for a distance of 11 yards, or thereabouts, south-west- ward. (D) Gooseberry Hill- (1) Between points respectively situates 6 yards, or thereabouts, and 58 yards, or thereabouts, south-west- ward of Cwmaman road. (2) Between points respectively situates 80 yards, or thereabouts, and 206 yards, or thereabouts, south- westward of Cwmaman road. (E) New road- (1) Between points respectively situates 10 yards, or thereabouts, and 55 yards, or thereabouts, south-west- ward of the south-west corner of Fair View terrace. (F) Fforchaman road- (1) Between points respectively situates 10 yards, or thereabouts, and 198 yards, or thereabouts, south. westward of the south-west corner of the Cwmneol Inn. Tramway No. 5. Throughout the whole length of such tramway. 5. The motive power to be used on the proposed tramways will be electrical, mechanical, or animal power, or partly one and partly another of such powers. 6. To empower the Council from time to time to make temporary tramways where necessary, and either temporarily or per- manently to make, alter, maintain, remove, or abandon such turnouts, crossings, passing places, sidings, loops, junctions and other works in addition to those specified herein as may be necessary or convenient to the efficient working of all or any of the tramways, or for affording access to the stables, carriage, engine, boiler and dynamo houses, buildings, car sheds and works of the Council or their lessees, or for effecting junctions with the system of any Local Authority, Company or person. 7. To authorize the Council to enter upon and open the surface of and to alter and stop up, remove and otherwise interfere with streets, roads, highways, footpaths, watercourses, sewers, drains, pavements, water and gaspipes, telegraph, telephone, electric wires and apparatus for the purpose of constructing, maintaining, repairing, removing, altering or reinstating the tramways and works, or for substituting others in their place, or for the other pur- poses of the Bill. 8. To empower the Council in connection with the construction of any of the tram- ways, to increase the width of the roadway by reducing the width of any footpath, and in respect of Tramway No. 4,. to remove the footpath altogether on the south side of Clarence street. 9. To empower the Board of Trade to extend the time limited by the Bill for the completion of the tramways thereby authorized. 10. To empower the Council in the construction of any of the tramways to alter their position in any street by sub- stituting single or interlacing lines for double lines, or double or interlacing lines for single lines. 11. To authorize the Council to widen Gadlys Bridge, and, if deemed necessary, to rebuild or reconstruct the bridge and carry out such works as may be necessary for the maintainance of the bridge and approaches, and to sanction any agreement that may be made with the Taff Vale Railway Company in reference thereto. 12. To empower the Council when any road in which a tramway is laid, altered or widened, to reconstruct such tramway in such position as they think fit. 13. To empower the Council on the one hand, and any Local Authority, Company, body or person on the other hand, to enter into or carry into effect agreements for the supply of electrical energy for any pur- pose to and by the Council, by and to such Local Authority, Company, body or person. 14. To enable the Council on the one hand, and any Local Authority, Company or person with regard to the tramways or light railways in any adjacent district which can be worked with any of the Council's tramways on the other, from time to time to enter into and carry into effect contracts and agreements with respect to the purchase, sale, lease, work- ing, use, management, maintenance, alteration and construction by the contract- ing parties of all or any of their respective tramways and works, or tramways or light railways laid within their respective districts, or any part or parts of such tramways or light railways respectively the making of all necessary junctions; the supply of rolling-stock, plant, machinery, electrical or other energy or power; the appointment and removal of officers and servants; the payments to be paid and the conditions to be performed in respect of such working, use, manage- ment and maintenance the interchange, accommodation, conveyance, transmission and delivery of traffic coming from, or destined for, the respective undertakings of the contracting parties and the division and apportionment of the revenue arising from such traffic and the payment of any fixed or contingent rent; and to confirm and to give effect to any agreements which may be made touching any of the matters aforesaid and to authorize the respective contracting parties to give and take a guarantee against any loss arising by reeson of any such agreement, and to pay any such loss out of rates levied by them. 15. To empower the Council to work and use the tramways, or any of them and to confer on the Council such rights, powers and privileges as may be necessary or expedient for the carrying into effect the purposes of the intended Act, and in particular to lay down on, in, under or over the surface of any such street, road or place in which any of the intended tram- ways of the Council are or may be situated such posts, brackets, wires, electric lines, cables or apparatus, and (as regards cables, wires and apparatus) in any other street, road or place with the consent of the road authority, and also to make and maintain such openings, posts, brackets, electric lines, cables, wires or ways in or under the surface of any such street, road or place as may be necessary or convenient, either for the actual working Z, of the tramways or for providing access to or in connection with any engine, machinery, carsheds or apparatus, and to empower the Council to erect engines and machinery for the purpose of working the tramways, 16. To enable the Council to levy tolls, rates and charges for the use of the tram- ways and for the conveyance of passengers and traffic thereon, and to confer, vary or extinguish exemptions from the payment of such tolls, rates and charges and to alter existing rates, tolls and charges, and any exemptions therefrom. 17. To empower the Council to attach brackets, wires and apparatus to any buildings for the purposes of the tramways, and to prescribe the conditions upon which the same may be so attached. 18. To empower the Board of Trade from time to time to make, and the Council to enforce, bye-laws and regulations re- lating to the use of electrical power, and for insuring the protection and accommo- dation of passengers, and the carrying of traffic in and along the streets in which the tramways are laid. 19. To make provision for the inter- change of traffic upon the tramways authorized by the Bill and upoia other tramways connected or which may here- after be connected therewith, and to authorize cheap fares for the labouring classes. 20. To provide that all or any tramways authorized by the Bill may be worked on Sundays, and to enable the Council to acquire, hold and exercise patent rights and licenses with regard to electric traction or motive power. 21. To authorize the Council to make and maintain the following new roads, street widenings and works, wholly situate within the district, with all needful and desirable works and conveniences in connection therewith, namely :— A New Road (No. I)-Commencing in Cardiff-road at a point 186 yards, or thereabouts, measured in a southerly direction from the south-east corner of Clarence-street and terminating by a junction with Cardiff-road at a point 44 yards, or thereabouts, measured in a south-easterly direction from the south corner of Bell-place. A New Road (No. 2)—Commencing at the south-west end of Gooseberry-hill at a point 120 yards, or thereabouts, measured in a south-westerly direction from the east corner of Fforchneol Arms, and terminating by a junction with Fair View-terrace at its north-east end. A New Road (No. 3)—Commencing at the south-west end of Fair View-terrace at a point 2 yards, or thereabouts, measured in a south-westerly direction from the south-west corner of Fair View- terrace, and terminating by a junction with Fforchaman-road at a point 46 yards, or thereabouts, measured in a north-easterly direction from the south- west corner of Cwmneol Inn. Widening No. 1.—A widening on the south side of Gadlys-road between points 0*1 chain and 2'5 chains south-eastward of the south-east corner of No. 100, Gadlys-road. Widening No. lA.-A widening on the south side of Gadlys-road between points 3'5 chains and 4'1 chains south-eastward of the south-east corner of No. 100, Gadlys road, including the widening of Gadlys Bridge over the Taff Vale Railway. Widening No. 2.—A widening on the south side of Gadlys-road, commencing at the termination of Widening No. lA, and t terminating at the north-east corner of No. 28, High-street. Widening No. 3.—A widening on the south-west side of Cardiff road (the Mardy Grounds) from its junction with Bethuel-street to a point 0'4 chain north- westward of the north-west side of Victoria Inn. Widening No. 4.—A widening on the west side of Cardiff-road between points 0'2 chain and 2'3 chains, or thereabouts, south- east of the east corner of Victoria Inn. Widening No. 5.A widening on the east side of Cardiff road between points 0-5 chain and 5'5 chains, or thereabouts, north of the south-west corner of No. 18, Cardiff- road. Widening No. 6.—A widening on the north-east side of Cardift-road between points 0'2 chain and 3'1 chains south-east- ward of the south corner of No. 28, Cardiff road. Widening No. 7.—A widening on the south-side of Cardiff-road between points 3'2 chains and 5'1 chains, or thereabouts, east of the intersection of the said road with Sunnybank-street. Widening No. 8.—A widening on the east side of Cardiff road between points 0'4 chain and 3'1 chains north of the inter- section of the said road with Ynyslwyd- road. Widening No. 9.—A widening on the south-west side of Cardiff-road from its junction with Mount-street to a point 4'0 chains, or thereabouts, south-eastward of the said street. Widening No. 10.—A widening on both sides of Cardiff-road between Mount Hill- street and Mason-street. Widening No. 11.—A widening on the west side of Cardiff-road and north side of Clarence-street between points 1'5 chains, or thereabouts, south of the south-east corner of the boundary wall of Aberaman School and 0-6 chain from the intersection of Clarence-street with Cardiff-road. Widening No. 12.—A widening on the south side of Clarence-street and south- east side of Jubilee-road between points 1'6 chains, or thereabouts, east of the east corner of Bethany Congregational Chapel and 0'3 chain, or thereabouts, south-westward of the east corner of the said chapel. Widening No. 13.-A widening on the south-east side of Gooseberry-hill between points 3'6 chains, or thereabouts, and 9'2 chains, or thereabouts, south-westward of Cwmaman-road. 22. To empower the Council to deviate in the construction of any of the intended works authorized by the Bill to the extent shown on the plans to be deposited as here- inafter mentioned or to be sanctioned by Parliament. 23. To authorize the Council in con- nection with the tramways, new streets, and street widenings, to make and maintain all necessary approaches, retaining walls, piers, abutments, embankments, girders, cantilevers, bridges, arches, sewers, drains, goits, culverts, excavations and other works and conveniences. 24. To authorize the Council to construct a public footpath upon and along the north side of the graveyard of St. John's Church, Aberdare, and for that purpose to remove so far as may be necessary the grave and head stones therein, and to acquire and take portions of the said graveyard and other- wise interfere with the same for the pur- poses aforesaid. 25. To empower the Council to alter steps, areas, cellars and pipes, and to ap- propriate the lands purchased for street widenings as parts of the public highways. 26, To authorize and require the County Council of Glamorgan to contribute towards the widening or improvement of any main road authorized by the Bill. 27. To authorize the Council to purchase by compulsion or agreement, or take on lease or otherwise acquire for the new roads, street widenings and footpath, and for the general purposes of their undertaking lands, buildings and hereditaments, subject never- theless to such regulations and conditions as may be defined by the Bill, and to authorize the Council to use land acquired by them for any one purpose for any other purpose. 28. To define the principle on which the purchase money and compensation payable in respect of lands and property acquired for the proposed new roads, street widen- ings, footpath and works are to be deter- mined, and to provide for limiting the amount of such compensation and claims in respect thereof in certain cases. 29. To enable the Council to purchase so much only of any property as may be re- quired for the purposes of the Bill, and to exempt the Council from the liability im- posed by the 92nd section of the Lands Clauses Consolidation Act, 1845, and from the provisions of the said Act with respect to the sale of superfluous land, and to exempt the Council from the operation of section 133 of that Act. 30. To enable the Council to make all necessary and convenient junctions and communications with any roads or streets intersected or interfered with by the in- tended works, and to cross, open or break up all such roads, highways, streets, places, sewers, pipes, and telegraphic or telephonic or other apparatus within the district as may be necessary or convenient to cross, open or break up for the purpose of the Bill. 31. To enable the Council to sell, convey, lease, exchange, and otherwise dispose of for building purposes and otherwise any lands, houses and property, or any easement, right or privilege in, under, over or through the same, which may be acquired by or vested in them under the powers, and may not be required for the purposes of the Bill, and to sell and dispose of any building, paving or other material. 0 32. To enable the Council to acquire by compulsion or agreement the lands herein- after described, and any interests, rights or privileges over or affecting the same (that is to say) (1) A piece of land and occupation road containing one acre and three-quar- ters, or thereabouts, situate in the parish of Aberdare, on the north-east side of Gadlys-road, forming part of the old Gad- lys Iron Works and Coke Yards, and comprising parts of the enclosure and buildings thereon numbered 551 on the Ordnance Map of the said parish (scale 1-2500) published in 1868. I 2. A piece of land containing one acre and a-h&lf. or thereabouts, situate in the parish of Aberdare aforesaid, at the rear of Cardiff-road, on the south-west side thereof, bounded on the north-west by Club street and on the south-east by the boundary wall of Blaengwawr School, and comprising part of the enclosure num- bered 936 on the said Ordnance Map. 33. To empower, the Council upon all or any of such lands to erect, work, maintain and use a station or stations for generating, transforming and transmitting electrical energy with all batteries, dynamos, trans- formers, accumulators, condensers, engines, apparatus, plant, machinery, and other works, appliances and conveniences for that purpose, and to generate, transform and transmit such energy accordingly. 34. To authorize the Council upon all or any of such lands to erect, maintain and use a refuse destructor or refuse destructors with all necessary plant, machinery, works, buildings, appliances, apparatus and con- 11 pp veniences for that purpose and to authorize the Council to manufacture slabs, bricks and other material from the clinker refuse arising therefrom. 35. To enable the Council and any Local Authority, Company or person to enter into or carry into effect contracts for the supply of electricity for all purposes within or beyond the existing limits of supply of the Council and to confer upon the Council and such Councils, Company or person powers to enable them to lay down the necessary mains and pipes, to break-up streets and highways, and to raise money upon the security of public rates, or other- wise, for any of such purposes. 36. To empower the Council to purchase, provide, sell and let on hire or otherwise deal in and fix motors, pipes, fittings, engines, stoves, wires, fuses, switches, lamps, dynamos and other apparatus inci- dental to the supply or consumption of electricity, and to exclude the same from liatfflitv to distress and to make provision in regard to construction, laying down, in- spection and testing of meters and any of the articles and things aforesaid in premises supplied by the Council with electricity. 37. To empower the Council to alter the time for filling up annual accounts to allow discounts on charges for electrical energy, and to enable the Council to make bye- laws with respect to electrical fittings, and to exempt the Council from liability to sup- ply in certain cases. 38. To enable the Council to levy and charge such rabes, rents and charges for the supply of electricity in bulk or otherwise as may be specified by the Bill. 39. To empower the Council to borrow money for all or any of the purposes of the Bill, and for the general purposes of their tramways, new roads, street widenings, and electrical Undertakings, and for such other purposes as may be prescribed or authorized by the Bill; and to charge the money so borrowed and interest upon the security of the whole or part of the revenues of the Council from time to time arising from the tramways and electrical and other under- takings and property for the time being of the Council, or some of them, and on any other funds and rates established and leviable by the Council, and to empower the Council to apply any of their funds to any of the purposes of the Bill, and to provide for the disposal or application of the revenues arising from the tramways and electrical Undertakings, and to make further provision with reference to the existing debts of the Council, and otherwise in relation to the finances, rates and revenues of the Council. 40. To empower the Council to extend the provisions of any existing byelaws; to make new bye-laws, rules and regulations with reference to any or all of the foregoing matters and to enforce the same by penal- ties or otherwise, or to vary or rescind the same and to confer upon them all powers, rights, authorities and privileges which are or may become necessary for carrying the powers granted oy the Bill into execution. 41. To incorporate with alterations and amendments, and to apply, amend, alter or repeal all or some of the provisions of the several Acts of Parliament or Provisional Order following, or some of them (that is to say) :-The Aberdare Electric Lighting Order, 1902, and any Acts or Orders relating to the district; the Lands Clauses Acts; the Tramways Act, 1870, and all Acts amending the said Acts respectively, or any of them. 42, To vary, repeal or extinguish all existing rights, powers and privileges which would in any manner interfere with or prevent the carrying into effect of any of the objects of the Bill, and to confer other rights, powers and privileges. And Notice is hereby also given, that on or before the 30th day of November instant plans and sections showing the lines, situa- tions and levels of the proposed tramways, new roads, street widenings and footpath, and showing also the lands intended to be taken compulsory under the powers of the Bill, with a book of reference to such plans and a copy of this Notice as published in the London Gazette, will be deposited for public inspection with the Clerk of the Peace for the county of Glamorgan at his offices at Cardiff, and with the Clerk to the Urban District Council of Aberdare at the Town Hall, Aberdare. Printed copies of the Bill will be depo- sited in the Private Bill Offices of the House of Lords and Commons on or before the 17th day of December next. Dated this 1st day of November, 1904.
