NOTE. Intending Bidders for these Tolls must at the commencement of each Letting place in the hand of Mr Haywood the sum of Ten Pounds each as a guar- antee of good faith and security for the due performance of all the Conditions of the Letting, to be returned to each not being the highest Bidder, but should theparty being the highest Bidder not complete the contract immediately after the letting, then the said Ten Pounds shall be absolutely forfeited to the Commis- sioners and the Tolls put up again.
