The proposed island should not, be more than 12 acres.—Mr Anthony rea4 the report of the committee. STONES FOR THE HARBOUR WORKS. Mr Richard Roberts, agent to the Glyn- 11 iion Estate, wanted a. plan of Allt Fawr, where the Councd required stones, and Mr Geddy would prepare the same. WATER RATES. Mr Lioyd. on behalf of the water rate col- lector, asked if the rate was to be collected on the assessment passed by the Council at the last meeting? If the Council replied in the affirmative the collector wonld send out the demand notes.—Mr Lloyd Ellig Raid that the money was due for the last two years He proposed that the demand notes should be sent out, and iMr Lloyd seconded.—Passed. STABLES. Mr H. P. Jones said that they were now paying £ 27 for stables in Ala. road. They had an excellent place in the Maes for the purpose of erecting stable. Even if they spent £30<? on the new fcuiidin^s, and pettd 4 per cent. interest on the amount, it would pay them.
