CORN.
CORN. LIVERPOOL, Tuesday.—There was a full attend- anceatthe Exchange to-day, and for wheat ahealthy consumptive demand, free from speculation, was experienced at generally Id advance, the finest qualities only making 2d per cental more money than on Friday last. The total shipments for the past week were 190,000 quarters, of which 95,000 are for the United Kingdom (Liverpool 20,000), 60,000 go to the Continent, and 35,000 are from California anet Oregon. Flour very firm, and American grades exceptionally 3d dearer. Indian corn in abort supply, and, with light shipments to Liverpool, was held for Id advance, but did not meet with a ready sale. The spot quotations were:—Mixed America old, 5s lid to 6s; new, 5s 10d to 5s lid white, 5s 9d to 5s lOd; Galatz, 2 6s 6d to 6s lOd per 100 lbs. Both Eng- lish and foreign wheat meets with a fair sale, at Is advance on last Monday's prices. Flour also fairly active, and 6d to Is dearer since same date. Oats quoted 6d higher on the week. CATTLE.
CATTLE. LIVERPOOL, Monday. —The supply of stock was less than on last Monday. The demand slow. for cattle at full priees. The scarcity of sheep is now being felt, and prime Scotch weighing 60 to 70 lbs per sheep made about lOd per lb. At market 1350 cattle and 3123. LONDON, Monday.-Good inquiry for choice beasts at full value's, but anything below this quality meets with a dull sale. The British supply comprised 215 Scotch, 60 Irish, 1000 Norfolk, Suffolk, and Essex, and 975 midland and home counties. Foreign beasts very dull, and prices tending lower. Sheep market well supplied; best breeds in wool selling at full values. Lambs dear and wanted. Calves scarce and prices firm. Pigs active at firm rates. There has again been more doing in rum, and a little business in coffee. Rice is ateady, and linseed is unchanged more done than is reported. Coir yarn better a fair business done at very steady prices. Dyewoods in [fair request. No alteration in drysalteries, which have been quiet, as it usual on a Tuesday. India-rubber firm. In pieces there is also a gradual and increasing improvement in business. Mohair is very active.
