Other branches of natural ecience are taught in rotation. For the Modern Department, the aim is to give a thorough com fercial education, and to secure this, boys are well grounded in Eugl sh literature and niotiem languagt s. They are also taught mensuration, laiid-ourveyirg,drttwiug,book-keejiing by sinsrle and doublo entry and elementary mechanic?. The whole school is taught music an hour a week, and private lessons are given in addition.
