HET NEWYDD Y WLADWRIAETH ♦ ^ynyrchwyd dyheadian uchel mewn adran o'r wasig felen a rfiai o'i hcwidiolwyr pan sefydlwyd y NVe.ny,(idiaeth Genedlaethol bresanol. Cred- enjt y sylweddoliid eu gobeithion, hir ddisgwyl- iedig ac y ceid gweled John Bull yn chwipio ei ddeilnaad i wneyd eu rhan yn yr angyfwng ollbwysig pmesenol yn ei hanes. Ond yn ffodus, y mae petHiaxi wedi cymeryd cwrs hollol vvahanol. Yn wir y mae dinasydulion Fry da, in wedi profi yn amlwig eu bod yn hollol barod i wneyd pob aberth a ofynir oddiax eu llaw 1 vn wi'-foddol. Mae digwyddiadau yr wythnos ddiweddai wedi aigar ein llygiaid i'r ffaith fod gell-m waSth dirfawr i'w wneyd heblaw cvf- lenwi milwyr i fae.s yr ymladd, er mior b\vysi,g yw yr alwad kono. Bu i Mr. Liqyd I iGteorge ddaingps (pwysugiwydd urn ddyled- svvydd yn ei fesur i ddarpa.ru ar gyfer cyf- j lenwi arfau a phylu-r ar gyfer y frwydr, tra y bu i Mr. McKenna ddangos y pwysigrwydd o ddysgu cyniidelb cyffredinol trwy berswadio j y defliaid—yn wreng a boneàd-i fuddsoddi eu baiian yn y gronfa ferithyoiol er cyfarfod a 'tJhipeuliau y rhyfel. Er cymainit fu clochaar Arglwydd Nortii- cliffe a'i gynffonwyr, mae v Weinyddiaeth newydd yn biwriadu cyfarfod y gofynion uchod trwy foddion gv.irfoddol. Ac yn adi- ffodius i'w "fawilhvdi," mae v wlad yn ateb i'r alwad yn rhyfedldol. Mae y meistri a'r gwedtliwyr edsoes wedi rhoddi eu nerthoedd at an-ad Mr. Lloyd George. Miaent wedi sefydlu ffoctrioedd mawrion, a.c y mae y gweibhwyr yai ymdyru i roddi eu llatur ar :allor gwasanaeth eu gwlad heb na chwip na ftonod. Profa hJï1 nad oedd prinder gwlad. garweh yu bod o gwbl. Pa.n gaed gwr wirth. y llyw oedd yn gallu egluro a threfnu petha.u yn bricdol cafodd yr addfedrwydd mwyaf tar ran pob doabartih. Bu i arweinwyr llafur ymgymeryd a clias.glu gweithwyr i'r gweith- feydd hyn. ■ C'wynai Mr. Lloyd George fod rhai cwmniau yn cadw cLefcniyddlau o'r farcdmad er ceisio sicrhau mwy o btris am danynt yn m'helladh yn m'aen. Pwy wara- furaai i rcddi awdurdiod i didielio yn llym a tihiejirnfradwyr or fath? Ceir rtiai gweith- wyr yn ddiajneu a fa-ute-isiant ar y cyflogau uchel presenol i goILi eu hamser ac i ddyrysiu gw-erthfeydd er partlhi eu nwydau a'u chwantau. Pwy fuai-ti yn grwgnach rhoddi awdruMod i'r Llywodraeth i arfer dysgyblaetb deilwng mewn acho&ion o'r faith.? Darperir i roddi awdurdod i Mr. George i dd-elio ag ajohosioii. eithriadol fel yna. Modd bynag, mate'n eglut" fod yn chaid troi holl neilh gweithfaol y wlad i gymnxihu dajpariadau milwrol cyn y ceir byth okbiitli am hvyddiant. Ond ni choir y darpariadaa ucliod heb ariau i dalu am danynlt. Dywediodd )tr. Liloiyd George ar gycthwvn y ilxyfel mad y pwrs trymaf oedd yn myaued i arcMygu yni y pen diaw. Wel mae y C-angh,Ilydd newydd (-Itr. McKeima) wedi cyftwyno rillhm newydd i'r wlad i dalu ami y darpariadlaju a isicnheir (gan Mr. Lloyd George. Mae y eynillun hwn eto yn sawru o'r werindiaietlh: bliral. U11 o anffodion penaf y Tihiyfeloedd fu ydoedd mai rhyw ycihycMjg o etihoJedigiooi mamtrion oedd yn gallu rthoddi benthyg arian i'r Uywodivaeth i gario y rhyfel yn mlllaen. Felly hwynthwy oedd yn man- teisio ar y llogau udhel yn y blynydldau dvfodJol. a'r giveibhni-yr yn wham dan faioh y 'flogau. Nid yn unig hyny, and elai cyn- Ilun o'r fath dlan wa-aidd dinasyddlaetih iach a pihur gan y bydclai y dyrnaid cj-ioetJhogion (hjm yn rlhoddi yr argraff ar y wlad mai ihwymthwy oedd etifeddrion g;wiirioneddol y wlad. Ond y mae cynllun y benthyciad newydd yn uin hollol wålhanol. Trefnir trwy hwn fod y gweithw\T yn cacl cyfraniad o 5s yr un yn y benthyciad. Gellir rhcddi swm bydhan yn wyitfliTiosoI a oheir y p"rau a phob cyfar- wyddyd yn y llyfthvrd'y, y baaiciau, a'r gwa.- thanlal swyddifeydd. Mae y Dlywooraetlh yn gwneyd gwerin a ^weiltlhwyr y wlad yn bart- xieribid a hi yn yr ygQnnes ofiiadwy non. Dytma gyfle emiaidd i woriniaeth, alC y mae dyrffodod bywyid y gweittltwyr yn dibyn/u ar y defrnydd a wnant o'r cyfleusdra hwn. Nid oes dim sydd amlycach na'r ff&i'bh y Ilbydd i syifeimi cyffredin cyrndeitlias gael eu ^waiggiaru gan y l'hyifel hon. Ac y mae yr adeilad)\va:rt/h newydd a. gyfyd1 o'r tryMi-th yn dilbjynxi ar y modtd, yr etyb y werin yr alwad Ibresenol. Heblaw hyny mae yn gyfle itliagOTol i ddysgu cynaldeb a darboaaeth i'r wloo. Mae y gweithwyr a't eu gilydd yn 11 y cael oyflogtau uichel ar hyn o bryd. Y mae y L!ywodraeiyii yn ei gw afth. yn darparu ar gyfer teuluoedd milwyr, ar milwyr clwyfedig wedi ovdnaJbud ei rhw7nedigaetlh i sicirnau bywoliaeth deihvnig i'w pliobl am y tro CVTItaf erioed. Ond nid yw y bywiogrwydd mas- nacho! and ffi-Tg. Daw adeg o ad- wcitfhiad* difiifol cyn bo hir ia.wn. Yr adeg hono bydd i lawer te'ulu hiraethu am yr arian wariwyd ganddynt :«r oferedd yn nydd eu llwyddasin't. Hen gyugor cynefin gan hen ddotetHiwyr yn y wlad ydyw i "ddal yr het tra y bo hi yn gwläowio," Wel does ddin dadl I nad; ydyw hi yn gwiliawio yn hanes gweith- wyr Prydoin h eddy w. Yr ydym yn ddyled us iawn i Mr. McKenna am ddarpa(ru ",hot" i ddal y gwlaw ar gyfer y dyddiau syah gydJd F yn dod. Heblaw hyny gellir yn briodol iawn ddweyd rild yn unig fod rhyddid a democrat- iaeifti Prydain yn y cwestiwn, and y mae rhyidkiid a dhydraddoldieb dymolSaeth yn y faxgen*. Oia f bjydidi 1i'.r Alnaaeni ondhfygu Prydain yn yr ymrafiael ofnadwy hon bydd yn ddyrnod farwol i ryddid a gweriniaetih y byd am gmedlaethau lawer. Gellir dweyd t
