I THE LIGHT RAILWAYS ACT, 1396. ¡ LLA5TATR&BEAUMARIS LIGHT RAILWAY. nVTO^OF Ic; HEREBY GIVEN that APPLICA- JNI TXON is intended to be made in the month of SEXT under the Light Railways Act 1806 to the Light Railway Commissioners for ar ORDER to INCORPORATE i CÜMPAXY (hereinafter referred to as "the Company ')-and to authorise tLc Coiripany to make ind maintain the railways hereinafter described from ijlanfairpwll- gwyngyll in the Courty of Anglesey to Beaumaris i in the S-, Ee County or some part or parts taerecf together with all necessary and convenient parsing •places, stopping places, sidings, buildings, roads, approuoiios, yi.rd», apparatus, generating plant, depots, machinery, appliances, md otiter wcrks and conveniences connected therewith or inci- -dental thereto that is to say RAILWAY NO. 1. Rail- way Company in the occupation of Robert Wil- liams at a point 95 yards or thereabouts measured in an Easterly direction from the ►South East crrner of the Weslevan Methodist. Chapel at Llanfair and 27 yai-ds or thereabouts measured in a Southerly direction from the South side ;>t the Holyhead "Main Road tiiei ce passing into th: said Holyhead Main Road about 80 yards to the west, or tne entrance to tho London and North-Western Station at Llanfair a.nd thence along tho said Main Road into the parish of Llandysillip to Menai Bridge Gas Works, thence into and along Dale Street into and through Uxbridge Square and thence in a Northerly direction into ard along the Cadnant Road over the Bridge at Cadnant into the Parish of Llandegfan and skirting the Northern side of the Beaumaris Rord to the junction of the road to Llandegfan with the Beaumaris Road along the Beaumaris Road till it crosses over Townsend Bridge at Beaum-iris along West End, Castle Street ard terminating :¡t. a point opposite the County Hall 17 yards or thereabouts measured in a South Westerly direction from the Western corner of the said Hail nnd 14 yards or thereabouts measured in a North Westerly direction from the West corner of the White Lion Hotel. RAILWAY NO. 2 A Railway 1 furlong 0.15 chains in lemrtn wholly in the parish of Beaumaris commencing by a junc- tion with Railway No. 1 in Castle Street at a poirt 20 yards or thereabouts measured in a South Westerly direction from the junction of Alma Street, and Cfcwtle Street and passing thence through Alma Street alorsf the front of Bulkeley i Terrace to the Roadway opposite Williams- < Bulkelev Arms Hotel and terminating in the Parish of Beaumaris in the centre of that road at P., point 63 yards or thereabout* measured ir. a North Easterly direction from the centre of the entrance to the Beaumaris Pier. To empower the Company to enter upon take use and acquire for the purposes of the Railways and if reouisite or necessary for widening por- tions of the said roads along which the Railways will pass and for other purposes of the Order the lands shown on the plan: and described in the Book of Reference hereinafter mentioned and which lands are hereinafter generally described viz. IN THE PARISH OF LLANFAIRPWLL- GWYNGYLL. A plot of land at the commencement of Rail- way No. 1 on the Southerly side of the Holvhead Main Road belonging to the London, and North- Westem Railway Company in tha occupation of Robert Williams. A strip of Garden on the same side of the said Main Road belonging to the said Railway Com- pany and immediately to the East of the Carriage driye to the entrance of the Llanfair Station of the said Company in the occupation of Henry Hughes. A strip of waste land and quarry on the North aa side of the said! Holyhead Main Road opposite to Brvn-y-cyrph and belonging to tho Marquis of Anglesey. The total lands required in the Parish of Llan- fairpwllgwyiigyli will bo 2 roods 25 perches or thereabouts. IN THE PARISH OF LLANDYSILIO. A strip of rough land on the West side of the Cadnant* Road at a point 2 miles 3 furlongs 4 chairR or thereabouts from the commencement of Railway No. 1 owned by Colonel John Bulkeley Price and in tho occupation of Hugh Bulkeley Price. A strip of garden, coal-shed, yard and waste land about 6J, chains in length or the East side of the Cadjiant Road commencing at a point 2 miles 4 furlongs 2 chains or thereabouts from the com- mencement of the said Railway No. A and belong- ing to the said Col. J. B. Price and in the occupa- tion of Miss Ann Roberta and others. A strip of garden footpath out-buildings ard grass land about 2f chains in lengtn on the same side of the said Cadnant Road at a point about 2 miles 5 furlongs 1 chain from tho commencement of the said Railway No. 1 in tho occupation of Alexander Bayne and others and belonging to William Jones. The total land required in the Parish of Llan- dysiiio will be 32 perches or thereabouts. IN THE PARISH OF LLANDEGFAN. Old mill, waste hnd, and out-buildings, belong- ing to tho said Col. J. B. Price situate on the River Nant immediately to the North of Cadnant Bridge ard in the occupation of Hugh Ellis as Lessee. Portion of occupation road ov/ned by the said Col. J. B. Price and in the occupation of John Morgan and others. Portion of Wood Field and Plantation in the occupation of Lewis Prothero and owned bv Mrs Elizabeth Evans. House, Field, Gardens ar.d out-buildings owned by the said Col. J. B. Price and in the occupation of John Blevin. House premises, garden and c/Tich-hcuse, owned by the said Colonel J. B. Price and in the occupa- tion of James Rowland, the whole of which said Mill land, wood, fields, houses and cut-buddings are situate between the River Nant and the .j,m- tion of the road from Llandegfan with the Beau- maris. Road. A portion of two fields on the West side of the said Beaumaris Road slid immedi- atelv to the North of the Road to Llande^tan owned by Hugh Furry and Mrs E. J. Jones and in the respective occupations of tho said Hugh Parry and Owen Jones ar d Sons. Strips of land on the shore side of the road forming part of the grounds of Craig-y-don owned and occupied by Edward R. Bickersteth Esq. at :point. 3 milos 6 chains and;) miles 1 furlong 7 chains or thereabouts respectively from the com- mencement of the -aid Railway No.1. Strips of plantation on tho North West side of the *ppoeii:« Rhianva, and Glan-y-Menai owned respectively by Sir Edmund Vomer, Bart., and R. H. Rathbone Esq and in the respective occupations of Sir John Strachey and the said R. R. Rathbone. A strip of garden on the shore side of the roacl about 50 yards to the North of the Glyr-y-Garth Post Office belonging to Colonel George Salis Schwabe. A strip of wood known a« Coed-y-BercIas at a point 4 miles 0 furlongs 5 chains or thereabouts from the commencement of the said railway No. 1 owned by and in the occupation of the «ua Colonel George Salis Se'h wal>e.. A strip of wood on the Norti:-W est side of ,he I said road at a point 4 miles 2 furlongs 6 cnains or thereabouts from the commorlcmcnt of '.he said strip*of wood on the shore side of tho said road about. 4 miles 4 furlongs 5 chains or thereabouts from the commencement of tho said Railway No. L A strip of wood on the North West side of the said Road at point 4 miles 4 furlongs Swains or thereabouts from the commencement or the said ilw:v o. 1. A on the shore side of the said road opposite the Nursery which said last mentioned strip of wood and also the three preceding strips all belong to and are in the •ccupauor, of Sir Richard H. W. Bulkeley, Bart. The total lands scheduled in the Parish of Llan- j decfan are 4 acres 3 roods 30 perches; but the total lands which it. is anticipated will be actual.} required are some 2 roods 30 perches. IN THE PARISH OF BEAUMARIS. Portions of Sand Pit, Fields and Wood owned by the said Sir BA R. W. Bulkeley, Bart. and I occupied by the said owner and Wm. Stanley im- mediately opposite Gallows Point. 2 Houses being Numbers 1 and 2 Alma Street j Beaumaris owned respectively by Robert Lloyd Gibson and Mrs Catherine Skinner Jores and in the respective occupations of Mrs Jane Pritchard and Mrs Maria Wynn. House, Garden and Premises No. 1 Bulkeley Terrace Beaumaris owned by John Jones and others and, in the occupation of Mrs Magdalene j Hughes. House, Garden and premises No. 2 L'iiikelev i Terrace oWLed byRd. Jones and in the occupation J of Owen Thomas Evans. j The total lands scheduled in the Parish of Beau- maris amount to 1 acre, 3 roods, but the totni land which it is anticipated will be actually re- quired are some 2 roods 25 perches. The gauge of the proposed Railways will be two feet six inches and the motive power will be elec- tricity or other mechanical power. To authorise the Company to — (a) Deviate from the lines or situations of the I works within the limits of the lateral deviation to be shown on the plan hereinafter mentioned or as may be authorised by the Order and to deviate ver- tically from the levels of any of the works shown on the sectior; hereinafter mentioned to such ex- tent as may be authorised by or determined under the powers of the Order. (b) Cross stop up divert widen narrow alter and otherwise interfere with roads highways footways j footbridges railways canals and other works and conveniences and to purchase or acquire by com- pulsion or agreement easements or rights of user over any private roads alorg which the Railway may bo made. Z, A Plan of the proposed works and of the land to be taken and a Book of Reference to the Plan and section of the proposed works may be seen at all reasonable hours at the office of Mr Thomas Hughes at Minydon Menai Bridge and copies of the proposed Order can be obtained on payment of one shilling per copy at the same place and at the Offices of the undersigned Solicitors and Parlia- mentary Agent. Objections to the proposed Order should be made in writing to the Light Railway Commission- ers on Foolscap Paper written on one side only and should be addressed to the Secretary, Light Railway Commission, 23 Great George-street, London, S.W.
