CONVEYANCE OF EXPLOSIVES A prosecution of peculiar interest to vendors of explosives was heard at Carmar- then on Saturday when Robert Oarr, a haulier, living in Forest-road, Pontardulais, and his employers, Messrs. Harries and Thomas, ironmongers, Ammanford, were summoned for carrying on the high road explosives not covered with painted cloth.- Inspector Davies, of Amman/ford, stated that a.fter examining a powder-barrel in the hind part of the cart, and which was open at one end, he found it contained two cases of safety fuse which were wrapped in brown paper. In the forepart of the cart he also found two boxes, one of which, covered by a dark material of a very inflammable nature, con- tained 50lb. of saxonite, and. the other filled with Wakefield's blasting cartridge powder.— The Bench, after healing the evidence, dis- missed the summons.
