JONES, Architect, of PENARTH and CARDIFF, we take the earliest opportunity of placing the following facts before his numerous clients placing the following facts before his numerous clients and fnends;- 1.—In the latter part of the year 1892 Mr J. P. Jon^s • I concluded an arrangement by which his Manager, Mr Henry Budgen, and bis old friend and once assistant, Mr Sydenham W. Richards, were to be taken into I partnership as and from the 1st of January, 1893. 2.—In accordance with that agreement new offices were taken at No. 18, St. Mary-street (corner of Wharton-street), Cardiff. 3.—By virtue of the partnership deed there is se- cured to the widow and children of the senior partner in the firm a very substantial share of the profits of the business for a considerable term of years. 4.—Mr Richards, an old inhabitant of the town, is well known in Cardiff as an accomplished and brilliant member of hill profession. As regards his capacity as an architect it is sufficient to say that he is a winner of the National Bronze Medal, than which South Kensington has but one higher dictinction to offer to the profession. Mr Budgen, who for some time acted as manager for the late Mr Jones, and previously was principal assistant in his office, holds the diploma of Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects. His ex- I perience, commencing by pupilage in the office of an Architect connected with the Crown work in Windsor Great Park and neighbourhood, was subsequently continued in London and Provincial Offices, and has been very varied and extensive. 5.—We feel that the confidence which the late Mr J. P. Jones reposed in Messrs Richards and Budgen, as evidenced by his tak1ng them into partnership, may be safely accepted by the clients of the Firm as a guarantee of their ability to satisfactorily carry out any works entrusted to them. 6.—The style of the Firm remains "J. P. JONES, RICHARDS, & BUDGEN." We are, faithfully yours, R. L. STOWE, JAS. TROTTER BARRY, Jun., Executors to the late Mr J. P. Jones. Cardiff. 27th January, 1893. 15005 (Kimiatum. COWBRIDGE. Merthyr. Dear Sir,—One of my sons went out to Canada last May, and settled down in the neighbourhood of Oil Springs, Lambton, Ontario, having taken to the farm- ing business. Some months ago he wrote home saying he had been on the sick list for several weeks suffering fearfully from piles, which had rendered him too weak to do any manual labour. Immediately I received his letter I went to Messrs Peglvr's and had a supply of ] your pills, which I forwarded to him. Three weeks < ago he wrote home saying that your pills had done him < some wonderful good. Before he had finished one box he was able to start work again. Last night I had another letter from him, stating that to all appear- ances the disease had left him, and he was in his usual health. Having accidentally heard that a man living in the same neighbourhood had been a great sufferer j from piles for over twenty years, my son sought him j out, and gave him half of the box he had. Within four days the man was jumping with joy from the good effects of your pills. Having received so mucb benefit from your pills personally, and witnessing their good effects on t«e nia$referred to, my son is very anxious th»^o4her ^uffqee'^s teky know of them, and receive the same beneM" fPom^tneA as he had himself.- Yours faithfully, JOSEPH WILLIAMS, Publisher of Tyst a'r Dydd newspaper and OioM Hedd magazine. o.&tr^E-'Geo^'lS^.S., Hirwain. 4979 FOR COUGHS, COLDS, ASTHMA, JJRONCHITIS, AND NEURALGIA. .R J. Tyry Berth Farm, Gellygaer, Pengam, ■: F, near Cardiff, November 26th, 1892. txentlemen,—I wish to add my testimony to the TON, NU' CNRE your Microbe Killer in my chil- ,drens case, °f Diphtheria. On the 19th of September, last, I lost a bright little girl of four years old from JJipntheria under medical treatment a few days, and' in two days after her death the second little girl, six years old, was taken ill with the same disease, but' fortunately I had a pamphlet of Wm. Radam's in my possession. I lost no time, but went to Cardiff at once" and bought a jar of the Microbe Killer," which I applied inwardly and outwardly as directed, and in twenty-four hours my child, who was given up to die by the doctor, was much better, and in one week out of danger, and in three weeks quite well; and so the second little girl of three years, and a little boy of ten years old, all cured in one month's time by Wm Radam's "Microbe Killer" only, and no doctor was called in to see the last two children for the simple reason that the first died and the second was given np., T? DIE*„ I can therefore recommend the "Microbe Killer as a certain cure for Diphtheria, and you are at liberty to make what use you like of my letter and' my name concerning the above.—I am, Gentlemen yours faithfully, B. THINGS TO REMEMBER If a great fortune were unexpectedly left (and it would be unexpected) I'll wager anythi that I should never forget the time or place where I first heard of it. Or if I should go home to- night and find (which God forbid) my hous* burned up, and everything in it, I'm equally oer tain that the main circumstances connected wifctof the event would stick in my memory until all tb Past's pictures fade out in the light of the it that is to be. 'Twould be the same with you., fancy? Yes. And here comes awoman who will not sort! forget the month of December, 1890. It is "I because Christmas comes in that month, for it what she lost, not what was given her, that 0 that particular time stand out above other ti ,j And what she lost was her health, a matter wort;, talking about, as one never can tell whtn he mall be more interested in that subject than in politi0* or the price of provisions. She says her illness began with nausea. Sb could keep nothing on her stomach, and threw what she calls a dirty green fluid." Now th1* dirty green fluid is not a thing to be disgusted »* j, but to be studied and understood. It is bile, n" bile is one of the most important agents in getting rid of the contents of the bowels. It f the way, so to speak, and helps to make the of stuff inside there more liquid and easily The liver gets it from the blood, and when <W;j machinery is all right we don't know there is such i a thing in our bodies. But when the liver i* b torpid and lazy, then the bile stays in the blood ft and poisons us all over. It makes the head ache, M the skin yellow and dry, and finally is expelle4 W from the mouth, as this woman says. Nature V can't use it the right way, so she throws it over* fl board the best way she can, which is a bad n sickening way indeed. ja Our lady fnend goes on to mention that het M tongue was covered with thick slime, her appetite I was poor, she had a fou! taste in the mouth, and t what she ate gave her great pain in the chest and ft back. All these symptoms were signs of one trouble, and liable to do an immense amount of mischief, just^as a wild animal loose in the streets f may do a variety of mischief before he is CI/op- tured and shut up again. I < I felt cold chills all over me," she says, and would sit over the fire for hours, for I felt so chilled and starved. I lost a deal of sleep all night, and often had to get up and walk about the floor." This was a miserable state to be in, and nobody ever experienced it without looking back to io with horror and dismay. That is, if he ever got over it; for some never do. They get worse and worse, until the doctors shake their heads, and old friends wipe their specs, and think about certain h funerals that are going to come off before long. For this disease is the essence and substance dt 5 almost all the rest, no matter what names they are called by. It scatters death with both hands, and fills you so full of pain and misery-mind and body—that you soon don't care much whether you live or not. ■ Well, let us hear more from our friend. I had so much pain," she says, "that it took all the |S power out of my body. At times my breathing almost stopped. I would gasp for breath, and jfl for hours I was in agony. After any simple food 9 I was so bad I had to lie on the couch, and one 5 night I thought I was dying. "Last April my husband persuaded me to try Mother Seigel's Syrup, that had cured him of f liver complaint. I got a bottle from Mr Jack, in High-street, and in a few days felt easier, and after taking three bottles more I was completely cured and have had no pain since. I never felt better than I do now. ¡ "Yours truly, Ay ISABELLA LIDDKLL MCEWAN, "78, Fisherrow, Musselburgh, near Edin- "burgh, September 17tb, 1891." We congratulate Mrs McEwan on her recovery, and there are thousands who will do the same. Four months of acute indigestion and dyspepsia is enough, though many suffer for years because they either never heard of, or won't use, tbr remedy that cured her. And to enlighten thezq,, she wants us to publish this little history. Now she will remember April as well as December.
