"Dedf Sir,—I am a poor hand at expressing my feeili'gs oil paper, but I should like to tbank you, for your iossenges have done wonders for me in relieving my terrible cough. Since I had the operation of Tracheotomy' (the same as the late Emperor of Gluruiany, and unlike him, thank God, I am still alive and letting on wall) performed at St Bartholomew's Hospital for abduct, or paralysis of tho vocal chords, no one could possibly have had a more violent cough; indeed it WHS so bad at times that it quite exhausted me. The mucus also, which was very copious and hard, has been softened, ^nd I have been able to get rid of it without difficulty. I am, air, yours truly, Mr T. Keating." J. HILL." MEDICAL NOTE. The above speaks for itself. From strict inquiry it appears that the benefit lrom using Keating's Cough Lozenges is understated. The operation was a spe- cially severe one, and was performed by the specialist, Dr H. T. Batlinr of St. Bartholomew's Hospital. Since tiie operation the ooiy means of reiief is the use of these Li zenges. So successful are they th&t one affords immediate henent. although from the natnre of the ouse the throat irritation is intense. Mr Hill kindjpr allows any reference to be made to him. OPENING OF THE DISESTABLISHMENT…
OPENING OF THE DISESTAB- LISHMENT CAMPAIGN. The Liberation Society has opened its wintei Campaign by some excellent meetings. Last week Mr Fisher lectured to a good audience at the Go* operative-hall, Lewisham; and the Hon. A. Brand, in moving a vote of thanks, said there was no subject in which he felt a greater interest than in that of disestablishment, and one reason lie gave was that he had found the clergy, as a class, were the men who were least disposed to move in the path of progress. A special featurs of the winter's work will be lectures on the struggle for religious liberty illustrated by th* magic lantern, which have everywhere excited great interest and attention. Important meetingf are being arranged for at Lincoln, Rochdale Wellingborough, Stowmarket, Yarmouth, Man- Chester, and in various towns in Yorkshire, There is every prospect of a vigorous disestab- lishment campaign, and, with the probability of am early general election, the meetings will have *a added importance.
