CARDIGAN. Postmaster's Death. Widespread re- I gret was caused at Llangollen by the in- I telligence of the death of Mr. Henry Thomas, postmaster of Cardigan, which took place early on Friday morning. Hav- ing been associated for twenty-seven years with Llangollen Post Office, Mr Thomas a few years ago accepted a position at Cardigan. A pathetic feature associated with his death is that he and his wife were stricken with illness at the same time. Whilst he lav dying his wife's body was conveyed to. Llangollen for burial. (Sailors Society.—The Rev. T. Eynon Davies, pastor of Woodford Green Church, London, and a native of Cardigan, has accepted the invitation of the. directors of the British and Foreign Sailors Society to take over the control of the Society's work at home and abroad. Mr. Davies will, consequently, resign his pastorate. He has held the pastorates of notable Congregational churches, including Elgin, place (Glasgow). Finsbury Park, Becken- ham. and Woodford Green.
