GREAT DISPOSAL OF ENTIRE STOCK OF DRAPERY GOODS, AT NOMINAL PRICES and CLOTHING, At Charges calculated to the pecuniary valuation of the most rigid economist. To Emigrants to either hemisphere, heads of scholastic and other establishments, persons having large domestic dependen- cies, managers of philanthropic institutions, shippers ani seamen in the mercantile marine, &c., this disposal of first- class goods, at a rate far below market prices, offers induce- ments that in all probability may never occur again. THOMAS~MILES, DEEPLY impressed with a sense of obligation for past favours received at the hands of a kindly patronising, yet thoroughly discriminating public, is perfectly aware that while he owes much of his prosperity to the estimation in which he has been held by those who have hitherto honoured him with their favours, yet he cannot (and it is without ego- tism) conceal from himself tha gratifying knowledge, that he has ever sought to earn, and to deserve, the character of a tradesman anxious to win reglrd-and consequent custom— by pursuing a track that be his never been known to deviate from, the strict paths of honour and integrity. Trouble has not been spared in procuring articles manufactured by the most skilful workmen, and deived from the most esteemed factories in the kingdom; andalways having an eye to change of fashion, or the introductioi of any novelty whatever into the world of taste and durabilty, he has been enabled to out- strip all of his contemporariesin the race for appreciation and by perseverance he is prcid to know that he has gained a name and a standing that nables him to say, with the classic poet. of the last centur, that if 'Tis not in mortals t command success, He has done more-u.daavoured to deserve it. T. M. in announcing t» th public his intention never to swerve from the straightforwKf manner in which he has al- ways conducted his business, eiterates that an opportunity is now proffered of purchasing rticles of unquestionable fabric, at prices apparently ruinous the vendor; but circumstances having enabled him to procve an immense quantity of goods in the trade, at a very low r.e, he is resolved to give the public the benefit thereof, 1: disposing of them at an almost inappreciable profit. Havig arrived at this conclusion, he impresses on his patrons thnecessity of an early visit, as by that means they will have ti more extended choice from the varied and multitudinous stre of goods he is thus fortunately enabled to submit to their ispection. Many as have been the annual recurrences of his apeals to the remembrances of his best friends—the pubJic-J: bas never yet failed to give that satisfaction throughout the'ollowing year that has ensured him an extended connecth far the future; thus, as time rolled on continuously,it h brought to him an accumulation of friends; and enviable, deed, are his sensations when, while gazing on the well-tnembered countenance of some patron of ancient standinghe is fully assured that that face would not have been so fattiar to him had not his motto ever been that Honesty iste best morality, As well as fe best policy.
