LABOUR CONFERENCE AT NEWPORT TO-MORROW. DOCKERS AND THE LORDS. Nominations for the Executive Com- mittee include the name of Mr. John Twomey, of the National Labourers' Union, and Mr. John Bodge (Steel Smel- tersl. Under the heading of "Parliamentary Fund" an amendment stands in the name of the National Amalgamated Laboureis Union to substitute "50 per cent." of the ^eturniny officer^' net expenses to be paid to candidates instead of 25 per etnt. The lookers' Union have the following "On the official notification of a General Election being made. ,the executive shall call a Nation.al Conference of the affiliated societies— (a) to determine a Labour pro- gramme (b) to devise the best means of assisting candidates during the election."
