AT a VESTRY MEETING held at the PARISH CHURCH, SWANSEA, on FRIDAY, the 9th FEBRUARY, 1894, IT WAS RESOLVED that the Vicar and Church- wardens restore and re-build St. Mary's Church according to the plan produced to the meeting, shewing the Nave of the proposed New Church 6 feet wider on the South side than the present one, and 17 feet beyond the present West Porch, and the Chancel about 7 feet wider. The Tower to be re-built, and the Herbert Chapel to be thrown open; and that the work of re-building the Church be not commenced for three months from the date of the meeting.
