THE want of Turkish Baths at Swansea has been long felt, there being no Public Baths nearer than Neath. This Company is formed to supply that want, and al- though its primary object is the public convenience, it is believed that the Baths as a speculation will not prove un- remunerative. The want of a Swimming Bath has also been greatly felt, more especially since the formation of the South Dock has to a great extent spoiled the Sea Bathing. The Directors intend to make this one of the chief features of the Baths, and it is thought that the proceeds of the Swim- ming Bath, together with those of the Turkish Baths, will enable the Company to pay a dividend of five per cent. at least; and it is hoped that this, together with tl e great boon the Baths will confer on the town genera1 !y, will induce a large number of the inhabitants of Swan- sea and neighbourhood to take shares. There will be separate Turkish Baths with different entrarces for Ladies and Gentlemen, and it is further in contemplation to erect Hot, Cold, Medicated and Vapour Baths. An eligible site has been procured at St. Helens road, Swansea, between Herbert-place and y erection Ctaapd, and it is intended to proceed with the erection of the Baths ered into is that for the purchase of M..cb, 1881, made oi ine saiu o Conybeare, 0f the one part, ard between S behalf of the Company, of the other part, a copy of which may be seen at the OffiCl- 3 of the Oompany-oo Q.entiemen have already promised to take a, °U Forms of Application for Shares can be had at fhTpffice^of the said Company.
