MORGAN, Widow of the late Mr. CHARLES MORGAN, of Cwmamman Collieries, Llanelly, Carmarthenshire. Her severe misfortunes are well known to the town and neighbourhood of Swansea. Mr. Morgan died under distressing circumstances at the close of the year, 1876, and she is totally unprovided for. Her friends feel deep sorrow for her and wish for funds to purchase a small annuity, so as to prevent her falling into absolute poverty. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the School -1-' Board of the Parish of Llandilo-Talybont have, in pursuance of the Elementary Education Act, 1870, section 74, and subject to the approval of the Educa- tion Department, at their Meeting, held on the 9th day of November, 1880, made and ordained certain Bye-laws, and have deposited a printed copy of such Bye-laws at their Office, No. 7, Rutland-street, in the Borough of Swansea, for inspection by any rate- payer, and further that a printed copy thereof will be supplied gratis to any ratepayer upon application at the Office aforesaid, prior to the said Bye-laws being sub- mitted for the approval of the Education Department. VfOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Pursuant to the N Provisions of an Act of Parliament made and passed in the Session held in the 35th and 36th years of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, intituled An Act to autho ize the application of Funds of Municipal Corpora- tions and other Governing Bodies in certain cases," a MEETING of the Council of the Borough of Swansea, will be held at the Guildhall, Swansea, on WEDNESDAY, the 19th day of January, 1881, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, to confirm the following Resolution of the Council, adopted at t Meeting held on the 8th day of December, 1880:- RESOLUTION. That in the Judgment of this Council, it is expedient for this Council acting in their several capacities to promote in the next Session of Parliament a Bill for the following purposes, or some of them, that is to say — To provide for the consolidation of the Mort» gage and other debts and liabilities of the Mayor, Aldermen, and Burgesses of this Borough, acting by the Council in their several capacities (hereinafter re- ferred to as the Corporation), and to empower the Cor- poration to create and issue Stock Debentures and Annuity Certificates for the purpose aforesaid. And that this Council do now resolve that the Borough Fund or Borough Rate and the General District Rate, or either of them, and in such proportions as the Coun- cil shall hereafter determine, or as the said intended Act may prescribe, shall be applied tot he payment of the costs and expenses attending, and in relation to, the promotion of the said Bill.
