«>atuv3iiy to iHontJJs/s floats. LONDON, MARCH 23. THE Paris journals since our last to Thursday inclusive contain little news of interest. The debate on the Secret Serviee Money commenced on Monday in the Chamber of Deputies, and terminated on Tuesday with a triumphant majority for Ministers of 56, the Ayes being 225, and the Noes 169. This is the most decisive vote of the session, because the amendment was brought forward by the Opposition as a I- vote of want of confidence" and accepted in these terms by the Ministry. The result has ex- cited much rejoicing among the friends of the Cabi- net. The Opposition journals deplore the event, and evidently regard it as the last trial of strength for the session. This debate possesses considerable interest from the almost unanimous feeling displayed by the Chamber against the encroaching and rebel- I ZD lious spirit of the Jesuists. We rejoice in such a demonstration, because it shews that the French people take a rational view of the subject, and are determined to support the Government and the legal institutions of the country against the encroachments of the above obnoxious order of the Romish Church.
