«>atuv3iiy to iHontJJs/s floats. LONDON, MARCH 23. THE Paris journals since our last to Thursday inclusive contain little news of interest. The debate on the Secret Serviee Money commenced on Monday in the Chamber of Deputies, and terminated on Tuesday with a triumphant majority for Ministers of 56, the Ayes being 225, and the Noes 169. This is the most decisive vote of the session, because the amendment was brought forward by the Opposition as a I- vote of want of confidence" and accepted in these terms by the Ministry. The result has ex- cited much rejoicing among the friends of the Cabi- net. The Opposition journals deplore the event, and evidently regard it as the last trial of strength for the session. This debate possesses considerable interest from the almost unanimous feeling displayed by the Chamber against the encroaching and rebel- I ZD lious spirit of the Jesuists. We rejoice in such a demonstration, because it shews that the French people take a rational view of the subject, and are determined to support the Government and the legal institutions of the country against the encroachments of the above obnoxious order of the Romish Church. The Moniteur contains a Royal Ordinance, au- thorising the Minister of War to call into service 16,000 of the 40,000 conscripts of the class of 15,1,2, who had not yet left their homes, to replace 13,000 of the class of 1838, whose time of service will ex- pire in 1845. The interview he had with Napoleon, at a small country inn, on his retreat from Moscow, and the remarkable conversation that took place, must be fresh in the memories of many readers. It was on that occasion the Emperor used the phrase now become a proverb—"From the sublime to the ridi- culous there is but a step."—On YVednesday night a distinguished trooper of the Grand Army" paid Z!) the debt of nature, Gen. The Madrid Journals are to the 15th inst.—The Queen Christina arrived at Valencia on the 12th, and was received by 200,000 persons with great cheering. Her Majesty was to leave that city on the 18th. I^HESE Medicines have long been known through- out the American Continent, nnd appreciated for their ex. traordinary and immediiite powers of restoring perfect health to persons suflering under nearly every kind of disease to wbich the human frame is liable. In many hundreds of certified instances, the, have even rescued sufferers from the very verge of an untimely grave, after all the deceptive nostrums of the day bad utterly failed; and to many thousands they have permanently secured |IIHI uniform enjoy- ment of bealih, wilbout which life itself is bul a pariial blessing. So great, indeed, has their efficacy invariably and infallibly proved, that it has appeared scarcely less than miraculous to those who were unacquainted with the beautifully philosophical principles upon which they are compounded, and upon which they conse- quently act. The first operation is to loosen from the coats of the stomach and bowels tbe various impurities and crudities constantly settling around them; and to remove the hardened facces which collect in the convolutions of the small intestines. Other medicines onlv partially cleanse these, and leave such collected masses behind as to produce habitual costiveness, wiib all its train of evils, or sudden diarrhoea, with its imminent dangers. This fact is well known to all regular anatomists, who examine the human bowels after death, and hence the prejudice of these well informed men against the quack medicines of Ibe age. The second effect of the VEGETABLE LIFE PILLS is to cleanse the kidneys and the bladder, and by this means the liver and the lungs, the healthful acticn of which entirel) depends upon the regularity of ihe urinary organs. The blood, which takt-sit-i red colour from the agency of the liver and the lungs before it passes into the heart, being thus purified by them, and nourished by food coining from a clean stomach, courses freely through the velDS, renews every part of the system, and triumphantly mounts the banner of health in the blooming cheek. The following are among the distressing variety of human diseases, to which the Vegetable Ide Pills are well known to be infallible:— DYSPEPSIA, by thoroughly cleaning the first and second stomachs, and creating a now ot pure healihv bile, instead of the stale anil acrid kind t laluteucy, Palpitation of the Heart Lost oj Apatite, Heartburn and Headache, Restlessness, lU-t'emper, Anxiety, Lanyour, atid MeLincholtj, w hich are the general symptoms of Dyspepsia, will yantsh as a natural consequence of its cure. Costweness; by cleansing ihe whole length ofthe inteslines with a solvent process, and wilbout violence: all violent purges leave the bowels costive within two days.
