Letters for everywhere abroad. 2J,d. per J oz. post cards, Id. NEWSPAPERS.—One half-penny each within this country. Two or more newspapers, one half-penny for ea(-Ii, or, if under 2 oz.. then at the book-rate of one half-penny for every 2 oz. No packet of newspapers must exceed two feet in or one foot in width or depth, or 141 bs in weight. The newspaper must contain no in the nature of a letter. Newspapers (Id for 4 oz.) for abroad must be posted within eisfhfc days of pnblication. If posted after eight days bo)k postage rates must be paid. For places abroad, d. for 2 ozs. POSTAL ORDERS.—Fostal orders are issued for the following sums at the undermentioned rates. —Is. and Is. (id, half- penny 2s. 2s. Gd., 3s., 3s. 6d., 4s., 4s. (id., Gs., 7s. Cd., 1\), and 10s 6d., one penny; 15s. and -20s., lid. These orders should be presented for payment at the post office within three months of the Iat day of the month of issue, otherwise a sum equal to the original poundage will be charged for each three months, or part of three months, beyond that date. REGISTRATION OF LETTERS.—Fee: 2d. to lid. The owner will be indemnified (provided that all regulations have been complied with) to an extent not exceeding £ 50 in case of loss. Rural post- men will receive letters for registration and give a receipt. MONEY ORDERS.—For sums not exceeding £ 1, 2d. „ £ 2, 3d. » £ 4, 4d. >> £ 7, 5d. .1 £ 10, 6d. BOOK POST.—Packets of books, paper, printed matter, manu- script, circulars, photographs (not glass), for every 2 oz. id. No packet of printed matter of any kind" must exceed 5lbs. in weight or IS inches in length, or t! inches in depth, or 9 inches in width. The articles must be so packed as to be readily examined. ARTICLES NOT ALLOWED.—Glass in any form; anything of a greasy or oily nature anything explosive or liable to combustion and razors or other sharp instruments. INLAND PARCELS POST.—For an Inland Postal Parcel of a weight not exceeding lib., the rate of postage, to be prepaid in ordinary- postage stamps, will be 3d every additional pound, lid. up to 11 lbs. M ixnnum length, 3 feet 9 inches maximum length and girth combined, 6 ifeet. Examples:-A parcel measuring 3 feet 0 inches in its longest dimensions mav measure as much as 2 feet 6 inches in girth, i.e. around its thickest part or-a shorter par- cel may be thicker; e.g if measuring no more than 3 ft in length, it may measure 3 feet in girth, i.e. around its thickest part. The regulations under which certain articles are prohibited from transmission by the letter-post will-with a few exceptions-apply equally to the parcel post.
