LATHES AND GENTLEMAN, I am sorry that my health necessitates my absence abroad at the present time. Should you again do me the honour of returning me at yourrepresentative,Ineedhardlyassureyouthatyour interest shall always have my best attention. Yours Faithfully, Feb. 1, 1892 W. R. M. WYNNE. m35 MERIONETHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL. TO THE ELECTORS OF ABERDOVEY. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN— In compliance with the request of a number of ratepayers in a Public Meeting, I beg to offer myself as a candidate for a seat as your repre- sentative on the County Council in the present election. I am fully conscious of the importance attached to the office, and of the various matters which must come before the Council during the ensuing three years, and therefore come before you as a thorough- going Liberal, not in name only, but in deed and in truth. I am zealous in behalf of the Temperance cause, and consider that the control of granting licences should be taken out of the hands of the Justices and transferred to the ratepayers themselves or their representatives on the Council. I am of opinion that Elementary Education should j'be free and unsectarian, and shall do my utmost that «the Intermediate Education which is about fo be j brought within our reach shall be adapted to the -special requirements of the place with reference to teaching Navigation, &c., and that all its advantages "be brought within reach of the working class. I shall also pay special attention with a view of securing our rights in Public Roa&s and Pathways as well as in the Common Lands in the neighbourhood, as I "Mri of opinion that the?e will shortly by Act of Parliament come under the- charge of the County Coonoils. I shall render every support to Alderman J. Hughes- Jones, 'Esq., J.P., in his indefatigable efforts to secure a Harbour of Refuge for the place. My efforts at all times will be to curtMl the expenses as far as that will be consistent with the efficiency of the work. As you we aware my business connections for many years have enabled me to understand the require- ments of all classes, whether sailors, townsmen, or farmers. In conclusion. I would earnestly urge you not. to be influenced by &ny personal considerations in recording your vote by ballot, but to carefully weigh and con- scientiously act—without fear or favour—in behalf of your own interests and those of the country at la/rge. Should I be elected by you, these and siaiiiow matters shall have my heartiest support. I am, Lauies and Gentlemen, Yours faithfully, J Glanyrafon, WILLIAM JONES.
