The Freehold Residential Domain of Ynys-y-Maengwyn, containing about 1,478 acres, situate in the parish of Towyn, in Merionethshire, on the borders of Cardigan Bay, and in the inid.,t of a district celebrated for its magnificent scenery and salubrious climate, lies (with the exception of a mountain sheepwalk) within a ring fence, bounded on the north by the river Dysynni, and extends southwardly to the mountain range, which runs eastwards from near Cardigan Bay to Lake Tal-y-llyn, at the foot of Cader Idris," about ten miles distant, embracing large tracts of valuable Arable, Meadow, and Pasture Lands in the Dysynni Valley, and extensive Sheepwalks on the adjacent mountain range. The Ynys Water Corn Mill is also on the estate, and, to- gether with about 13 acres of Land, is held under a lease which terminates in 1888. The numerous smaller holdings of Pall Mall and Picca- dilly, close to Towyn, on the turnpike road to Dolgelley, and valuable Accommodation Lands near thereto, and to the Hamlet of Bryn Craig.
