GRANTS TO WELSH COLLEGES. Deputation to Mr. Asquith. The Welsh members met on Friday after- noon in Committee Room No. 7 to consider the mode of procedure in regard to the presen- tation of the case in support of the application of the three constituent Colleges of the University of Wales to increased grants from the Treasury, which they were to submit to the Chancellor of the Exchequer at the private interview granted to them for that purpose. Mr. Asquith received them in his room at the House of Commons, and the deputation included the following ^embers :—Sir Alfred Thomas, chairman of the Welsh party; Messrs. Brynmor Jones and Herbert Roberts, joint secretaries; Herbert Lewis, S. T. Evans, Frank Edwards, Ivor Guest, Colonel Ivor Herbert, D. A. Thomas, David Davies, William Jones, Lloyd.
