WALES IN PLYMOUTH. The Welsh residents in Plymouth concluded their winter series of vernacular services on Sun- day evening, when the Rev. Joseph Jones, Vicar of St. Saviour's, Plymouth, preached to a con- gregation of about a hundred. The service was conducted by the Rev. Rhys Harries (Congrega- tional), once of Narberth, and a Welsh sacred solo of his own composition, entitled "Af yn Mlaen," was sung by Mr. Afanfryn Hill, a Welsh tenor, who is becoming very popular in the west -Country. The services have been held under the direction of a committee, of which the Rev. Maurice Jones, S.C.F., is chairman, and Mr. S. R. John, secretary.
