ST. PANCRAS PARLIAMENT. In the presence of a moderate but interested House, the Home Secretary (Mr. Mills) in the St. Pancras Parliament, submitted the Government Bill for the Disestablishment of the Church of England in Wales, on Tuesday evening, Jan. 22nd. In the course of an eloquent and well-reasoned speech, he unfolded the Government's intention with regard to the question on very similar lines to those proposed by Mr. Asquith. The Welsh Party, which holds the balance of power in this Parliament, under the able leadership of Mr. T. H. Gilbert was represented on this occas- sion by Mr. Glyn Evans (Brecknockshire), and Mr. R. H. Davies (Flint Dis.), who, in telling speeches congratulated the House on the more enlightened attitude taken by Englishmen during recent years, with regard to this important question, and the demands of Wales were ably voiced by them. The debate will be continued next Tuesday, when further important speeches are expected.
