Our friends in charge of the weekly announcements in these centres will kindly com- municate with us, to facilitate the work and ensure correctness. The demand for copies of No. 1 was far greater than we had provided for, and we must apologise to our agents for the inconvenience caused them, in sending short supplies.

London Notes. The Rev. H. Elwyn Thomas will close his ministry at Tolmers Square Church, N.W., on the 20th inst., when he will preach farewell sermons. His vale- dictory service will be held on the 23rd, when Revs. ri Meyer, B.A., Andrew Mearns, James Baillie and a number of neighbouring ministers will speak. Bev. Robert Griffiths, the popular editor of "U/6 ^nner and Times of Wales, is to preach at the elsh Chapel in Shirland Rd., to-morrow (Sunday) mornmg, and at Hammersmith at night. Mr. Ben Davies has achieved a triumph in con- vincing a Berlin audience that there is, at any rate, one Welshman who can sing-. Much interest is excited as to Dr. Harper's suc- cessor at Jesus College, Oxford, and Welshmen are anxious for the appointment of a principal who will command the sympathies of Wales. The ideal Principal would no doubt be Professor Rhys. Other possible appointments are Mr. Llewelyn Thomas, the Vice-Principal of the College, Mr. Lewis Morris, the well-known poet, and the Rev. Hartwell Jones, Rector of Nutfield, Surrey, who was formerly Latin Professor at the Cardiff Uni- versity. The election rests with the Fellows, who will probably rely on the advise of the Earl of Pembroke and Montgomery, the hereditary visitor of the College, The sixteenth anniversary services of the New Jewin Chapel will commence this evening, when the Rev. J. Cynddylan Jones, D.D., will preach at 7.30. To-morrow (Sunday) Rev. John Hughes, Carneddau, will preach at 10.30, and the services will continue at 2.30 and 6.30, when both the reverend gentlemen will preach. Last Sunday afternoon a party of Welsh singers dressed in Welsh costume, gave a. sacred concert at the Metropolitan Music Hall, in connection with Mr. Chas. Cook's Mission, when the following ladies and gentlemen took part: Madame Emlyn Jones, Misses Mabel Johnson, Nellie Williams, Lizzie Price, Messrs. Emlyn Jones and Iago Lewis. The music was good and the Hall was crowded. We understand that it is intended to continue these concerts every Sunday afternoon throughout this month.
