TENBY CORPORATION. A Special Meeting of the Town Oouncil was held on Tuesday the 8th inst., present,-The Mayor; Aldermen Wells and Jenkins; Councillors Gregory, Mends, Stone, Birkin, Gifford, and Phillips. It was proposed by the Mayor, and seconded by Mr Mends,—'That the corporate seal be attached to the petition to the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury, for leave to apply a sum of £ 550, now standing to the credit of the Corporation, (being part of the money arising from the sale of land to the Pembroke and Tenby Railway Extension Company,) for the purpose of obtaining a larger and more continuous supply of water for the purposes of this borough.' A letter, dated 23rd April, 1866, from the Surveyor of the War Department to Messrs G)ode and Owen, of Haverfordwest, having been read, offering X800 for the absolute possession of St Catherine's Island, the Corpo- ration to pay out, or otherwise get rid of the person whose sheep are allowed to graze thereon, Proposed by Alderman Jenkins, and seconded by Alderman Wells,-—' That the offer of the War Depart- for St Catherine's Island be accepted.' The seal of the Board was ordered to be affixed to hoensct) for bathing machines, and to carriages of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th classes.
