AT the Census of 1851 the population of the parish 1'30 was 905; by the year 1S61 it hod increased to 1745; and at the present tirue it is estimaieii at 2,000 So rapid an increase of 'people, fclmost twofold in ten years, callB for immediate inctta^e oi Church accom- modation. Something has already been done the Church has b.'en lately restored, and in the y:ear 1863 a aoutb aisle for eighty additional worshippers was added, and Its well-filled' seats testify that it was not added need' leshly. But the population has Increased principally at the eastern side of the parish, at Neyland and Honeyboroullh, where quite a new town has arisen. At present I)i»ine service is held in the New Schoolroom, at tloneyborough, twice a week, on Sunday and Wednesday. But a Church is much needed, and will be built as soon as £ l,4t)0 car be raibed.
