They strengthen the stomach, and promote a healthy action of the liver, purifying the blood, cleansing the skin, bracing the nerves, and invigo- rating the system. A Word to Females. The local debility and irregularities which are the especial annoyance of the weaker sex, and which, when neglected, always shorten life, are relieved for the time being and prevented for the time to come, by a course of this mild but thorough altera- tive. Nervous Disorders. Any derangement of these delicate organs affects disastrously both the body and the mind. To the nervous invalid Holloway's Pills are an article of vital necessity. They impart tone and vigour to the internal organs, and consequently to the nervous system, which pervades and connects them. Hence their mar- vellous cures of hysteria, low spirits, spasms, fits, headache, nervous twitching-, iknd other kindred complaints, which are all radically removed by the use of these invaluable Pills. PRESIDENT JOHN WORTHINGTON, ESQ. COMMITTEE: W. H. JONES, ESQ. CAPTAIN NICHOLAS CAPTAIN TAYLOR, MR JOHN FURLONG, MR WILLIAM VAUGHAN, MR JOHN WILLIAMS. MB. W. H. JENKINS, CAPT. WM. GEORGE. Pantyphillip THE Gwaun having, of late years near its confluence with the sea, divided itself into a number of small shallow streams, so as to render it impossible for Salmon to go up the rlver; the above Society is desirous of widening and deepening its main bed for the distance of about 860 yards above the Bridge, so that all the water may run down one channel. The Committee consider it necessary for the reason that in ordinary Spawning Seasons there is not more than ttfo inches of water near the mouth of the river, and consequently the Salmon are obliged to spawn in the Bay, which is proved by the fact that quantities of Ova are (requenily found on the rocks at low water. The Committee therefore feeling certain that the opening of the mouth of the river in the manner above described will be a great and permanent benefit-to the poor fisher- men and others of the town and neighbourhood, earnestly solicit subscriptions to aid them in the undertaking.
