THE OGMOESS AND GARW VALES AND PORT OF CARDIFF UK ION RAILWAY. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that application is intended to be made to Parliament, in the ensuillg session, for an Act, or Acts, to authorize the construction and maintenance of a railway, with all proper tunnels, bridges, works and conveniences connected therewith, commencing either by an independent Terminus, or by a junction with the Bridgend Railway, at or near a certain village, called Aberkenfig, in the parish of Newcastle, in the county of Glamorgan, and terminating by a junction with the line of a certain proposed railway, to be called by the name of the South Wales Railway, at or near a certain field in the parish of Llaudaff, which field is marked and numbered 1 in the said parish, on the plans to be deposited as hereinafter mentioned, in compliance with the standing orders of Parliament; and which said railway will pass or be made from, in, through, or into the several parishes, townships, townlauds, hamlets, or extra-parochial, or other places of Newcastle, Newcastle Higher, Newcastle Lower, Langonoid, Baiden, Saint Bride's Minor, Ynisnawdre, Coity, Coity Higher, Coity Lower, Coychurch, Coychurch Higher, Coychurch Lower, Pencoyd, Peterstone Super Montem, LIanharran, Llan- harry, Bettws, Llanilid, Llangeinor, Landyfodwg, Han- trissant, Miskin, Lantrissant Town, Castella, Gelliweion, Trane, Llantwitt Yardre, Pentyrch, Castle, Garth, Pendoylan, Ystradowen, Peterstone Super Ely, baint Bride's, Saint George's, Michaelstone Super Ely, riadyr, Saint Fagan's, Capel Danilterue. Cayra, Leckwith, Gabalva, Canton, Ely, Fairwater, Llandaft, or some of them in the said county of Glamorgan. And also, to authorize the construction and mainten- ance of a branch railway, from and out of the said in- tended new railway, with all proper tunnels, bridges, works, and conveniences connected therewith, commen- cing by a junction with the line of the said intended railway, at or near a certain field, called Wain Fach, near the village of Bryn Cethin, in the parish of Saint Bride's Minor, in the said county of Glamorgan, and terminating at or near the farm of Nant Mir, near the Blaen Garw, in the parish of Hangeinor, in the said county of Gla- morgan which said branch railway will pass or be made fronT.-in, through, or into the several parishes, townships, townlands, hamlets, or extra-parochial, or other places of Saint Bride's Minor, Bettws, Llangonoid or Llangonoyd, Llangonoyd Middle, Llangonoyd Higher, Baiden, Cwm Ddu,°Ynisnawdre, Llangeinor, Coychurch Higher, Bryn- cethin, or some of them in the said county of Glamorgan. And also, to authorize the construction and mainten- ance of another branch railway, from and out of the said intended new line of railway, with all proper bridges, tunnels, works, and conveniences connected therewith, commencing by a junction with the said intended rail- way, at or near a certain field known by the name of Wain Fach, near Bryncethin aforesaid, in the parish of Saint Bride's Minor, in the county of Glamorgan, and terminating at or near the farm of Nantyrys, near the Blaen Ogwr, in the parish of Llangeinor, in the said county of Glamorgan, which said branch Railway will pass or be made from, in, through, or into the several parishes, townships, townlands, hamlets, or extra-paro- chial, or other places of Saint Bride's Minor, Ynisnawdie, Lland-y-Fodwg, Coychurch Higher, Llangeinor, LIan- trissant, or some of them in the said county of Glamorgan. And also, to authorize the construction and mainten- ance of another branch railway, from and out of the said last described intended branch railway, with all proper tunnels, bridges, works, and conveniences connected therewith, commencing by a junction with the line of the said last described intended branch railway, in a field in the hamlet of Coychurch Higher, in the parish of Coychurch, numbered I in the said parish, on the plans of this intended branch railway, to be deposited as heloe, inafter mentioned, in the said county of Glamorgan, and terminating at or near a certain field called Oil fach Gocli, in tho parish of Ystrad y Fodwg, in the said county of Glamorgan; which said branch railway will pass or be made from, in, through, or into the several parishes, townships, townlands, hamlets, or extra-paro- chial, or other places of Ystrad y Fodwg, Coychurch, Coychurch Higher, Llangeinor, Peterstone Super Mon- tem, Capel Llan bad, Hantrissaht, Trane, Gelliweion, or some of them in the said county of Glamorgan. And notice is hereby further given, that it is intended by the said Act or Acts, to incorporate a company for the purpose of executing and carrying into effect the said proposed railway, branch railways, works and conveni- eftse«i 9t tQ im apd wnsur Wi\q any other company or companies, body or bodies, or persons in so doin;r, a.)d to subscribe thereto and take shares therein respectively, and for that purpose to repeal, aher, vary, amend, enlarge and extend so far as may be necessary the powers and provisions of a certain Act of Parliain- nt passed in the ninth year of the reign of Her present Majesty, intituled An Act for making a railway to be called by the name of the South Wales Railwav," And notice is also hereby iriven, that it is proposed by the said intended Act or Acts to obtain powers to lery, collect and take certain tolls, rates and duties, on and for the use of she said railway, branch railways, works and conveniences, and 10 alter any existing rates, tolls, and duties, audothcrwixe; and to giant, confer, vary, and extinguish such exemptions from the payment of such tolls, rates, and duties, or any other rights and privileges as such company shall think fit, .tnd with pown* also of entering into and c:\nying into effect an'all6'JI,nts with the South Wales Bail way Compauj-, Rhondda and Ely Vallies Juuctio:1 Railway Comp:my, 01' with any other company, with reference :o the construction and future working of the said intended rai- -v;.y, aa.l branch rail- ways aud works, or any part there t', or for leasing or selling the same, or aay part thereof, with all or an) of the powers of the said company to be incorporated as aforesaid, in reference thereto to the said company upon such terms and conditions as may be mutually agreed upon, and to enable the said South Wales Railway Com- pany, Rhondda and Ety Vallies Junction Railway Com- pany, or a.iy Stich other e'1mp,ll¡y as aforesaid also to enter into and carry into effect any such arrangements and with the objects last aforesaid it is proposed to amend and enlarge, as far as may be necessary, the J' • s and :provisions of the, said Act of Parliament relating to the South Walts Railway. And notice'is also hereby given, that it is proposed by the said intended Act 01' Acts to take 01' obtain powers for the compulsory purchase of lands and houses, tene- ments, and hereditaments, and other property and that it is also intended to vary, repeal, or extinguish, all ex- isting rights or privileges in any manner connected with the lands, houses, and buildings, tenements, and heredi- taments, aud other property so proposed or intended to be purchased or taken, or which would in any manner impede or interfere with the constructions, maintenance, or use of the said int nded railway, branch railways, works and conveniences, and to confer other rights and privileges, and also to deviate laterally in the construction of the said railway, branch railway and works to such extent and within such limits as will be shewn or marked on the plans thereof, to bo deposited, in pursuance of the said orders of Parliament, as after-mentioned. And further notice is hereby given, that it is proposed by the said intended Act or Acts to take power to stop up, cross, alter, or divert, within the several counties cities, boroughs, towns, parishes, chapelries, townships, hamlet- townlands, extra-parochial, and other places aforesaid, or some or one of them all, such turnpike roads, parish roads, and other highways, tram-roads, railways, streets, paths, passages, rivers, canals, brooks, streams, sewers, waters and water courses, as it may be necessary and expedient to stop up, cross, alter, and divert, for the pur- pose of making and maintaining, or more conveniently making and maintaining, or using the said railway and branch railways, to be authorized by the said Act or Acts, or any of the works or conveniences connected there- with. And further notice is hereby given, that it is proposed by the said intended Act or Acts to take power to raise capital or money for all or any of the purposes aforesaid. And notice is hereby also given, that duplicate plans and sections of the said railway, branch railways, and other works, describing the line or situation thereof, and the lands in or through which the same shall be made and maintained, varied, extended, or enlarged, together with books of reference containing the names of the owners or reputed owners, lessees or reputed lessees, and occupiers of such lands respectively, will be deposited for public inspection on or before the twenty-ninth day of Novem- ber in the present year, with the Clerk of the Peace of the said county of Glamorgan, at his office in Cardiit, in the said county and that a copy of so much of the said plans and sections and book of reference as relate to each of the parishes in or through which the said proposed railway, branch railways and works, is or are intended to be made and maintained, varied, extended, or enlarged, will be deposited on or before the thirty-first day of De- cember next, with the Parish Clerk of such parishes respectively at their respective residences.
