NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVBN, that application is intended to be made to Parliament in the ensuing Session for one or more Bill or Bills, to authorise the making and maintaining of a Railway, with all proper -No,-ks and conveniences connected therewith, commencing at or near Blaen Rhondda, in a certain field near the farm of Clungwyn, in the parish of Ystrad-y-fodwg, in the county of Glamorgan, which field is numbered 1, in the said parish, on the plans to be deposited as hereinafter mentioned, and terminating by a Junction with the line of the South Wales Railway, at or near a certain farm called Tyn-y-bryn, in the parish of Llantrissant, in the said county of Glamorgan, and which said railway will pass or be made from, in, through, or into the several parishes, townships, townlands, hamiets, or other pieces of Ystrad-y-fodwg, Rhigos, Ystrad-y fodwg Middle or Middle Ystrad-y-lodwg, Home otherwise Home pen ilees, Clydach, Aberdare, Cwmdare, Llwydcoed, Cefnpenna, Forchaman, Linwonno, Glynconnon, Havodrinog, Llan- trissant, Trane, Gelleweion, Calltdla; Llantrissant Town and Miskin, or some ot them in tiie said county of Glamorgan; and also to authorise the construction and maintenance of a branch lailway from and out of tiie stid intended railway, commencing at or near Tyica Wen, in the parish of Llantrissant, and ending by a junction with the line of the Ogwr Fach Branch of a proposed railway and branches to be called by the name of the Ogmores and Garw Vales and Port tit Cardiff Union Railway, at or near the farm of Hendre Forgan, in the said parish of Llantrissant, all in tiie !¡;¡il! coullty of Glamorgan, and it is intended to apply f">r powers to make lateral deviations from the line of the proposed work, to the extent or within the limits defined upon the plans hereinafter mentioned; and also to cross, divert, alter, or stop up, whether tem- porarily or permanently, all such turnpike roads, parish roads, and other highways, streams, sewers, canals, navi- gations, railways, or tram roads, within the said parishes, townships, or other places aforesaid, or some of then), as it may he necessary to cross, divert, alter, or stop up, (or the purpose of making and maintaining, or mure conve- niently making and maintaining or using the said raiiwav, branch railway, or any of the works and conveniences connected therewith. And notice is hereby further given, that duplicate plans and sections of the said railway, branch railway, and works, together with books of reference thereto, will be deposited, for public inspection, with the clerk of the peace for the county of Glamorgan, on or before the 29th day of November, 1845, at his office in Cardiff, in the said county and on or before the 3lst day of December next, a copy of so much of the said plans and sections as relates to each parish in or through which the said railway, branch railway, and works, are intended to be made, together with a book of reference thereto, will be deposited with the parish clerk of each such parish, at his place of abode. And notice is hereby further given, That it is intended, hy the said bill or bills, to incorporate a Company or Companies, for the purpose of carrying into effect the proposed works, or some part thereof, and to apply for powers for the compulsory purchase of lands and houses, and to vary, or extinguish, all rights and privileges in any manner connected with the lands and houses proposed to be taken for the purposes aforesaid, and also to levy tolls, rates, or duties, upon, or in respect of the said railway, branch railway, and works, and to alter existing tolls, rates, or duties, aud to confer, vary, or extinguish, exemptions from the payment of tolls, rates, and duties, and other rights and privileges. And it is also proposed in and by the said bill or bills to empower the said Company or Companies to be thereby incorporated to let on lease, sell, or transfer the said in- tended railway, branch railway, and works, or any part of the same, or the tolls thereof, to the South Wales Rail- way Company, Ogmores and Garw Vales and Port of Cardiff Union Railway Company, or any other Railway Company or Companies with whose line the said intended railway, branch railway, and works, may unite and to delegate to the said South Wales Railway Company, Og- mores and Garw Vales and Port of Cardiff Union Railway Company, or such other Company or Companies as afore- said, the execution of all or any ol the powers of the said intended bill or bills, and to authorize the said South Wales Railway Company, Ogmores, and Garw Vales and Port of Cardiff Union Railway Company, or such other Company or Companies as aforesaid, out ol their corporate or other funds, and either joiutly or severally to take shares in and subscribe for or towards the making, main- taining, working, and using the said intended railway, branch railway, and works, or any part thereof, or 10 purchase, rent, work, or construct the said intended rail- way, branch railway, and works, or any part of the same, and to take tolls and duties upon or in respect thereof, aud to raise money for the purposes aforesaid. And it is further proposed by the said bill or bills to authorize the union and amalgamation of the said railway companies, or either of them, with the company proposed to be incorporated by the said bill or bills, upon such terms and conditions as may be mutually agreed upon, and to authorize the company to be formed by such union or amalgamation, to use and work the said railway, branch railway, and works, and to take tolls in respect thereof; and for carrj'ing into effect all or any of the above objects, it is intended to apply ("or powers to alter, amend, extend, and enlarge, so far as may be necessary, the provisions of the Act relating to the said South Wales Railway, that is to say, an Act passed in the ninth year of Her present Majesty, intituled "An .c:t (or making a Railway, to be called The South Wales Railway."
