Iilynvi Valley and South WaleS Junction Railway Company. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, That application [ is intended to be made to Parliament, in the ensu- ing Session, for leave to bring in a bill or bills to incor- J* porate a company or companies, and to give to such company or companies power to make and maintain » railway commencing in the hamlet of Llangonoyd Higher, in the parish of Llangynwyd, otherwise Llangonoyd, in the county of Glamorgan, passing thence from, In. through, or into the several parishes, townships, and extra-parochial 01' other places of Llangynwyd, otherwise Llangonoyd Higher, Llangonoyd :\1 i(l,lIe, Cwm du Bayden, IJettws, Bettws Higher, Bettws Lower, St. Brides Minor, otherwise Llanaaintfraed,Ynisawdre,Coyty, Coyty Higher, Coyty Lower, otherwise Old Castie, Aberkenfig, otherwise Aberllynvi, Bridgend, Newcastle, otherwise Trenewydd, Newcastle Higher, Newcastle Lower, Laleston, Laleston Higher, Laleston Lower, l'ythegston, Tythegston Higher, Tythegston Lower, Newton Nottage, Pyle and Kenfig, Pyle, Kenfig Bo- rough, and Margam, or some of them, in the said county of Glamorgan, and terminating by a junction or junc- tions with the proposed Sooth Wales Railway, or by a distinct terminus in the parish of Newcastle (otherwise Trenewydd), in the said county; and in the sai l bill or bills powers will be applied for to deviate from the line or lines laid down on the plans hereinafter-mentioned, to the extent thereon defined, and to stop up, divert, vary, or alter, either permanently or temporarily, all such turn- pike and other roads, aqncducts, canals, navigations, streams, and railways, within the parishes, townships, and extra-parochial or other places aforesaid, or some of them, as it may be necessary to stop up, divert, vary, or alter, for the purposes of such railway and the works connected therewith. And it is intended to take powers to construct stations, communications, works, and other conveniences, in the several parishes, townships, and extra-parochial and other places before-mentioned, or some of them, for working and using the said taihvay. and also to authorise junctions with any railway or rail- ways at the commencement or termination, or in the lil)e or course of the said railway as before described, in the several parishes, townships, and extra-parochial or other places aforesaid, or some of them. And Notice is hereby also given, that it is intended to apply for power to levy tflll". rates, or dues for the use of the said railway, and to grant certain exemptions from such tolls, rates, or duties, aud also for the powers usually conferred for the compulsory purchase of the lands and houses to be described up',tt the said plans, and also for power to vary or extinguish till rights and privileges which may in any manner inter- fere with the objects aforesaid, and to confer other rights and privileges and also for -.power to ssvll or lease said railway, or any part thereof, to the South Wale9 Railway Company, or to any other company, and to eft' able the said South Wales Railway Company, or such other company as aforesaid, to purchase or lease the said railway, 6r any part thereof, and to exercise all the rights and privileges intended to be vested in the company £ >f companies to be by such bill or bills incorporated; aud III the event of any such sale or lease being effected with the said South VVales Railway Company, it is intended, to alter, amend, and enlarge some of the provisions of an Act passed in the last Session of Pat' liament, intituled "An Act for making a railway to bØ called the South Wales Railway.
