Od.; beef, G^d. to /d.; mutton, 6d| to 7d. lamb, 6d. to 7d. veal 4?d to 6d. butter, 9d. to lid. skim cheese, 4fd. to .'Jid BRECON, JULY 5.—This beingthe annual July fair day we have the pleasure of stating it was fully attended bv dealers from parts distant and near, and most of the sto.'k produced was eagerly bought up at very advanced prices from those given at last May fair. Fat cattle, (of which there was but a short supply, both beasts and sheep, averaged fulI 6 d. pei ,b.; and the sellers of all kinds of 2 lean stock declared they were well satisfied with the buTniostlI*16' u h°rSe fah' WaS ver-y fulIv ^PPlied, but mostly with mountain ponies. A clear sale of those was soon effected, but at very low prices, as they were werplI- 1IU Te,'y P°°r condition- Go°d draught horses vere m demand, and obtained improved prices. The pig market, on the following Monday, was but moderately supplied, and all kinds of stores sold freely at very high prices-we should say fully forty per cent. higher than the price paid at the July fair of last year, and in some in. stances nearly double. On the whole all parties seemed perfectly satisfied.
