Temperance Hall, Tredegar. I A GRAND EISTEDDFOD will be held in the above hall, on MONDAY, May 1st, 187 6, when prizes will be awarded to successful choirs and bands. To the Choir, of not less than 106 in number, that will best render We never will bow down" {Judas Maccabaus), prize £ 30, and a silver cup (value £ 2) to the conductor. To the Choir of not less than 60, who have not won B15, that will best render And the glory of the Lord" (Messiah), prize £ 10, and a silver cup (value Cl) to the conductor. To the Brass Band, of not less than 15 in num- ber, that will best perform Hallelujah to the Father" (Mount of Olives), prizes £20. Solos, £1 each. Adjudicator, — PROFESSOR PARRY (Pencerdd America). Railway arrangements are being entered into, particulars of which will shortly appear. Programmes may be ha'd of the Secretary, MB. J.
